4、h.It is also required that the BE teaching should be students employment-oriented,focusing on English proficiency of students in workplace. BE major is set up in most high vocational college.In recent years,education of HVC has played a more and more important role in the whole country.According to
5、the statistics issued in 2003 by the Ministry of Education of the Peoples Republic of China,the number of the students in HVC has accounted for a half in the whole higher college education.The education of HVC received more and more concern from the national education authority.In 2006,Ministry of E
6、ducation of the Peoples Republic of China issued the 16th Document “Directions on improving the quality of teaching in HVC education thoroughly”.In this document,it is proposed that HVC should cooperate with enterprise and the students should combine classroom learning with practice in the factory.A
7、s to curriculum reform and construction it suggested that teaching methods and approaches should be reformed and the teaching mode of“integrative teaching-learning-doing”(ITLD)should be applied in the cultivation of talents.It is also required the teachers in HVC should emphasize the students practi
8、cal ability.The HVC education should consider“Meeting the needs of society”as the goal.When designing the plan of the cultivation of the talent,the teachers in HVC sho focus on raising the studentsability to apply what they have learned to practice.Only by doing this,graduates from HVC can have the
9、theoretical knowledge with a solid foundation, the strong ability to apply theory into practice,broad horizon and higher quality to fulfill the future work. Under the guidance of the 16th document,much effort has been made to reform the teaching model and in many HVC the cultivation mode of talents
