2、 1. impression: n.印痕;印记;印象;感想常用结构: have an impression of sth./doing sth. 对(做)某事有印象 make/leave/have an impression on sb. 给某人留下印象 make no impression on 对无影响效果 give sb.a favorable impression 给某人留下好印象 an impression of ones foot 某人的脚印Eg: Your performance gave me a strong impression. 你的表演给我留下了很深的印象。 What

6、 truck. 那位老人不能忍受卡车的噪音。完成句子:The teacher in the exams. 老师不能容忍考试作弊。4. lack: v.&n. 缺乏;缺少的东西注意:lack作名词时,后常接of。lack作动词时,既可作及物动词,也可以作不及物动词,作不及物动词时,后常接for或in。lack不用于被动语态。常用结构:lack sth. 缺少某物lack for sth. 缺少;需要for/through lack of. 因缺乏no lack of. 不缺乏a/the lack of . 的缺乏Eg: He didnt go there because he lacke

27、e, we could do it much better. =If we had been given more time, we could do it much better.多给我们点时间,我们会做得更好。(3) 表示方式或伴随 过去分词(短语)作方式或伴随状语,可以转换成一个被动语态的并列句。Eg: She walked out of the house, followed by her little daughter. =She walked out of the house and was followed by her little daughter. 她走出了屋子,后面跟着她
28、的小女儿。(4) 表示让步 过去分词(短语)作让步状语,相当于一个被动语态的让步状语从句。 Eg: Wounded, the brave soldier continued to fight. =Though he was wounded, the brave soldier continued to fight. 虽然受伤了,但那个勇敢的战士依然继续作战。(5) 表示原因 过去分词(短语)作原因状语,相当于一个被动语态的原因状语从句。 Eg: Deeply moved by the story, the children began to cry. =Because they were de
