1、Unit13 Section B Advertising: pros and cons 一、教材分析本单元主要“谈论事物对我们情绪的影响”。通过本课的学习,通过对广告的优点和缺点的了解与学习,增长学生的见识,培养学生一分为二看待事物的辨证态度。引导学生学会比较、选择对自己有影响的事物,并能正确处理一些实际问题,既巩固了语言学习目标,又培养了学生的合作能和交际能力,培养他们做个情感丰富的人。二、设计思想“问题导学-主题探究”教学思想是目前我区推进高效课堂的教学思想。以问题导学为中心的教学营造了一个有利于学习者语言习得的最佳环境,把语言应用的基本概念转化为具有实践意义的课堂教学方式,它倡导“在做中
2、学,在做中用”的教育理念,将语言应用的基本理念转化为具有实践意义的课堂教学方式。运用学习任务组织教学,强化了语言实践的过程,充分体现了语言的交际本质。在完成任务的过程中,学生自然地应用语言知识,从而获得语言运用的能力,真正体现了从知识到能力的转化。三、教学目标1.语言目标:重点单词及短语:pros and cons, aim at, compare, confusing, misleading, quality.能读懂课文内容,并从中提取信息和观点。能就“广告的利与弊”这一话题表达自己的观点和看法。2.能力目标:训练学生快速理顺并获取阅读信息的能力,完成围绕课文内容所设计的各种任务,初步掌握快
3、速阅读技巧,能基本表述课文大意 在学习中培养学生对阅读信息的筛选和辨别能力,能用英语谈论广告的利与弊,激发学生主动学英语和用英语的积极性。3.情感态度目标:通过对广告的优点和缺点的了解与学习,增长学生的见识,培养学生一分为二看待事物的辨证态度。四、课前准备1、每天课前由学生轮流到讲台上用35分钟的时间来展示自己的英语才能,学生们通常用英语讲故事、讲笑话,表演英语课本剧,或者针对课本中一些有趣的话题做英文采访或演唱英文歌曲等。2、搜集一些商品的广告标语。五、教学过程Step1.导入和“热身”活动(Lead-in and warming-up activities)1、 Ask two stude

5、demark graphics, which it is embodied in “comfortably settle down” and “leaned”. Nestle and the nest (雀巢) for the same root, so they use “雀巢” as its translation. Which embodies infinite love and show the role of commodities in their daily lives as a milk brand. 设计思想:这是一个常规的课堂活动,每天课前由学生轮流到讲台上用35分钟的时间

8、unication unlimited.(摩托罗拉) S2: We lead, others copy.(理光复印机)S3: The choice of a new generation.(百事可乐)S4: Impossible made possible.(佳能打印机)S5: Anything is possible.(李宁品牌)S: 设计思想:使学生了解日常生活用品的英语广告词的优美之处,体验现代生活英语的无穷魅力。Step3.阅读前活动(Pre-reading activities) Listen to the text.(要求学生带着问题听课文,捕捉大意。如:What is the a

Do you agree with it?) 询问调查学生对生活中的广告所持有的态度。Step4.阅读活动 (While-reading activities) 快速阅读,并通过“框架对比”来进行阅读记忆。 启发学生通过阅读查找和辨别有关信息,该任务可称为“浏览运用型任务”, 学生无须综合分析或逻辑判断,而运用形象思维和直觉思维就能从文章的字里行间找出完成任务所需要的答案。老师可以将学生找出的信息板书在黑板上,先小组内讨论再展示。如:ProsConsHelp to compare two productsHelp to save moneyBuy some thin

11、词句。Groupwork进行演示,拓展型阅读。首先,要求学生熟悉和记忆有关广告的利与弊,再通过结对活动进行语言转换和内容延伸。 例如: Group 1 A: Hello, everybody! Today we invite a boy to our Talk Show, his name is Deng Yansong. Hello, Deng Yansong! B: Hi, host! A: Well, what do you think of advertising? B: I hate them. A: You hate them? B: Yeah, because they make

But on the other hand, advertisements can help us compare two products and we can buy one that has lowest price. Its great! B: I agree with you

20、n she bought and tried it, it works really well, it makes her skin really soft, so I think the advertisements have pros and cons. 设计思想:“问题导学-主题探究”教学思想是新课改倡导的一种教学模式和理念,贯穿本课的主线是广告的利与弊,围绕这一主线我设计了“问题导学-主题探究”教学法的三个阶段性步骤,充分运用“问题导学-主题探究”教学的思想和理念,创建真实的语境,让学生置身其中,成为课堂的主体,在有趣的活动中完成任务,学到并能运用有用的知识和技巧,较好地完成了本课的知
21、识与技能、过程与方法、情感态度与价值观的三维目标。在语言技能方面,本着以学生为主体,以人的发展为本的教育理念,我要求自己做到从“学”的角度来设计教学内容,遵循先输入后输出的原则,使教学呈阶梯式层层推进。个人活动和小组活动等形式极大地唤起了学生的兴趣,构建了学生主动输出的桥梁,潜移默化地培养了学生相互合作、共同探究的能力。 Step6.课堂小结 SummaryIn this period weve leant the pros and cons about advertising, we know everything has two sides, so we should make good
