2、 things. During my education of bachelor, I have learnt much extra knowledge including the building knowledge and how to lead a team. However the most important thing Ive learnt as a student was the individual research and thinking about the relationships behind the space consists which lead to my fu

3、rther research.Besides, the internship and profession experience in XX, Beijing broadened my horizons a lot. Because of the cooperation with foreign designers I got much knowledge and different ideas about how the concept and the details can form a building. And as the leader of XX,my communication a

4、bility and team spirit improved a lot. However this is not the most important thing for me working in Beijing.Tons of Art exhibitions helped me to know the world and city in different perspectives.Even because of an exhibition called the sense of hearing,I got the initial idea of the last project in

And now,I am fond of Street Photography.Because when I took photos on the street,I can get to know the real changes of our life .You know the mobile internet changed our social life a lot even made a d

And by Street photography I can find the details and beauty of a street which will do some help for my further design and study. In sum, I think my comprehensive capacities and hardworking quality will satisfy the requirements for study and research in Hongkong Univ

7、ersity. Thats my self-introduction. Thank you. Why HKU?In my mind, Hongkong University is always the most famous school in Asia. And it has been my dream school since I was a child.HongKong University has many opportunities of communication with other colleges, and I like to get touch with different

8、 students and learn their culture or skills. So thats why I choose HongKong University. At the same time, the free academic atmosphere as well as the courses on movie and architecture of HongKong University have great appeal for me.And I believe that I can do better in the study of the city and the

9、society in HKU.Why HK?HongKong is my favortite city around the world. HongKong is an international city where east meets west. It is open and complicate. It will be pleasure for me to have further education in my favorite city.Besides,As and architecture student, the extremely high density of Hongkon

10、g attract me a lot.Because of the high density,HongKong is full of fascinating space relationships.Such as the intensive buildings which lead to the large green land of HongKong. And the separated surface and inner function.(You know)The outside is a Huge commercial AD but the inside is the parking l

11、ot rather than a market.Because of the fantastic space relationships HongKong can provide the best samples for my further study and research. Why Urban Design? (To be honest, it is a hard choice and I havent made the final decision.) Although my major is architecture and I love it, I still want to le

12、arn some new things. And urban design which is tightly connected with architecture will be a nice choice. Architecture focuses on individual buildings, urban design focuses on the larger scale of groups of buildings to make urban areas functional, attractive, and sustainable. And in my last research

13、I changed my point from the individual space to the mechanism behind the buildings. I created Matrix which can be seen as a small city. By doing this I realized UD can help me to find the logic behind the space production .Maybe in this field we can do something really good for citizens.Besides beca

14、use of the Street Photography, streets in my mind is not just a line on a master plan but a vivid scene which will help me to be a good Urban designer.( That is why I chose the Master of Urban Design .)Other school? To be honest, I have also applied the other school in HongKong CUHK to make sure I ca

First choiceDiploma project/Graduation DesignMy diploma project is the design of a huge transportation hub which is a complex with commercial ,residen

In this situation the hub may be a isolated island in the block. In the project,I found a way to link this hub with the ci

Certainly it would be bes

I have also made some researches in the field. For instance, I have completed a fictional city in my portfoli

I believe that HKU can provide me the most suitable platform to explore the new methods and theories relevant to the urban design in China. After my education, I will go back to china

21、 mainland to start my career as an architect or to be a teacher in a university to continue my research. Favorite architect/Urban designerMy favorite architect is Sou Fujimoto, a Japanese architect.I have been influenced by his works a lot.He is different from other architects not only because his w

25、Sou Fujimotos work I just think is the functional room suitable for our daily life because the situation is so different. You know the E-LIFE,The internet society we are living in.Sous work and thinking method open my mind a lot and give me a new perspective.Urban designerTalking about the urban desi

26、gner.I like Rem Koohas a lot.Rem is a unique guy maybe because of his experience. He worked as a journalist before,so he knows what the politics want and he knows the image of a city is important. The huge and unique shape of the CCTV buildings is just a image for Beijing for China. In some degree,it i

27、s a symbol of commercial ability. This situation is especially visible in China, the image of a city is more important than the city itself.Rem knows this a lot so he always can get the project, he knows the mechanism behind this so he just obey the rule. However under the huge and strange symbolized f

It has also made real estate development in the neighborhoods. So we can say this urban design is not only romantic but also has great profits which is so amazing.BookInvisible logic,Hongkong,as Asian Culture of Congestion.
