1、1 IntroductionThis specification defines the Engineering requirements that must be monitored through steady state production to insure customer expectations are met. Note: Nothing in the specification supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless specific exemption has been obtained.Note: In the

2、 event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.1.1 Scope.This standard establishes the minimum requirements for steady state part monitoring to insure manufacturing processes are producing components within Engineering specifications. Nothing

3、 in this document supersedes requirements specified by Product Engineering in the Component / Assembly drawings or Supplier Quality in the manufacturing control plan. This standard covers all global regions.1.2 Mission/Theme.Dimensional Control - Variable DataVariable Data is collected to insure Cha

4、racteristics on Parts/Sub Assemblies that influence or establish fit or function requirements at next point of use, Assembly Plant, are within Engineering Specifications. (example: I/P width to Door Trim, Overhead A-Pillar contour to A-Pillar Garnish) Dimensional Control - Attribute ChecksAttribute

5、Data is collected to insure Characteristics on Parts/Sub Assemblies that are established and controlled during the manufacturing process and internal to the Part/Sub Assembly are within Engineering Specifications. (example: I/P Trim Plate to Radio, Overhead wiring harness location)Electrical Functio

6、nalityElectrical functionality is checked to insure electrical components internal to the Part/Sub Assembly are functioning within Engineering Specifications. (example: HVAC fan, radio, Navigation, etc) Torque is monitored to insure fasteners used to attach components to the Parts/Assemblies are wit

7、hin Engineering specifications. Actuation efforts are monitored to insure components function within Engineering Specifications. Component MutilationComponents are inspected to insure they are not soiled, scratched, torn, or otherwise deformed beyond Engineering Specifications. 2 ReferencesThe follo

9、requency of ChecksFrequency of checks is to be defined in the component control plan and approved by GM Supplier Quality.3.2 Dimensional Control - Variable DataVariable Data must be collected for all KPC, PQC, and PMP points specified in the Part/Sub Assembly Detail Drawing and/or Measurement Point

10、files. Variable Data is to be submitted to GM Per GM11011 Dimensional Engineering Requirements. Checking fixtures are to be designed to collect variable data Per GM1925 Checking Fixture Standards. Note: CMM / Non-Contact measurement equipment is not required for advanced problem solving.The Supplier

11、 is responsible for interface problem solving. 3.3 Dimensional Control - Attribute Checks Attribute Checks are to be performed on all dimensional characteristics established and controlled during the manufacturing process and internal to the Part/Sub Assembly and specified with a feature control fra

12、me in the Part/Sub Assembly Detail Drawing. Attribute Checks are in-process/in station visual or go-no go checks. No data record or data submission to GM required unless specified by supplier quality in the Part/Sub Assembly Control Plan.3.4 Electrical FunctionalityElectrical functionality is to be

13、checked for all electrical components internal to the Part/Sub Assembly unless otherwise specified by Supplier Quality in the Part/Sub Assembly Control Plan. This requirement includes, but is not limited too: Control Switches, Door Modules, Lamps, Wiring Harnesses, etc3.5 Torque MonitoringTorque is

14、to be monitored on fasteners attaching the following components to the Part/Sub Assembly:· Door Pull HandleNo data record or data submission to GM required unless specified by supplier quality in the Part/Sub Assembly Control Plan.3.6 Component Actuation EffortsComponent Actuation efforts are t

15、o be monitored on the following components:· Door Release Handle· Articulating Map Pocket / Storage Comp.· HVAC Outlets· Cup Holders / Ash Trays· Sun Shades· Electrical SwitchesNo data record or data submission to GM required unless specified by supplier quality in the

16、Part/Sub Assembly Control Plan.3.7 Component MutilationPart/Sub Assemblies are to be visually inspected to insure they are not soiled, scratched, torn, or otherwise deformed beyond Engineering Specifications. 3.8 A Variable Data TemplateThe following template contains the initial variable data colle

17、ction points. The actual program specific points will be developed by the program dimensional team. The DPM (Dimensional Program Manager) who leads this activity with support from the component DSE (Dimensional Systems Engineer) and measurement point group.3.8 B Attribute Check Template ExampleThe f

18、ollowing template is an example of an attribute check routine. The actual attribute check requirements will be developed by the manufacturing supplier and approved by GM supplier quality.4 Notes4.1 Glossary4.1.1 Detail Drawing: This type of drawing includes one or more components built and /or assem

19、bled at a source of the manufacture outside of the vehicle assembly plant. The assembly plant recognizes an assembly released on a part detail as a single unit to be assembled to the vehicle.4.1.7 Control Drawing: This type of drawing consists of shipped assemblies and /or single parts assembles at the vehicle assem
