3、e recorder.VI .Teaching ProceduresStep I RevisionBrainstorm students with questions How ' s it going?and How s the weather so that they can have a review of the words and target language learned in the previous classes.Step H 1aBefore class make slides showing hot,cold,cool,warm and humid from t
4、he Internet ,magazines or newspapers. Now turn on “ My Computer ” ,left click Flash H Show the slides in turn,teach students to practice the words hot ,cold,cool,warm and humid.Write the words on the blackboard.Showthe pictures to thestudents.Point to the words randomly.Each time he or she finds a p
5、icture to go with a word,he or she has to say the word.Call students attention to the pictures in the book.Ask students to tell what the weather is like in each picture using the words learned just now.For example,for Picture a,a student may say,it s cold.Point out the numbered list of words in the
6、box.Invite a student to read them aloud to the class.Say,please match the words with the pictures.Write the letter of each picture in front of the word it goes with.Point out the sample answers.Students finish the task individually.Check the answers.1 .d 2.a 3.e 4.b 5.cStep m 1bCall attention to the

8、. As the pairs are working together ,move around the classroom listening and offering assistance if needed. Ask several pairs to present their conversations to the class.(This activity provides oral practice using the target language.)Step IV 2aDraw attention to the chart. Read the names Maria and S
