8、画室的门。His illness has left him weak.他的病让身体很虚弱。(2) It seems (that/as if)似乎 此句型实质上是 “主系表 ”结构。其中 it 是人称代词,并无实意,指的是某种情况, seems为系动词, that / as if 引导表语从句。1) It seems that 表示“看起来 ”。强调根据一定的事实所得出的一种接近于实际情况的判断,可以说表示事实。 (可以转换成 “名词或代词 seem 动词不定式 ”句型,其意不变,如果动词不定式为 to be 形容词时,to be 往往省略。)【例句】 It seems that it is m
9、ore difficult for women to get to the top of the company.妇女似乎更难提升到公司的最高职位。2) It seems as if .也表示 “看起来 ,似乎 ”。使用该句型表示可能:若从句表示的是很可能实现的事情, 从句谓语用陈述语气; 若从句 表示的是与事实相反的假设或实现的可能性很小的事情时,则从句谓语要用虚拟语气。1、从句的谓语动词常用虚拟语气来表示所设想的事情不真实或不可能发生/存在。【例句】 It seemed as if the good man were trying to teach us all he knew at th
10、is lastlesson.这个好心人仿佛要在最后这一堂课上把他的全部知识教给我们。It seems as if it were autumn. 现在仿佛是秋天似的。2、如果可能性很大则用陈述语气,或者句中的情况可能发生或可能被设想为真实,则仍然用陈述语气。It seems as if our team is going to win看.来我们队要胜了。(3) But what I remembered most is moving a lot.what I remembered most是一个 what 引导的主语从句。在句中充当主语的从句叫做主语从句。【例句】That he finishe
11、d writing the composition in such a short time surprised us all.Whether we will go for an outing tomorrow remains unknown.Who will be our monitor hasnt been decided yet.Whom we must study for is a question of great importance.What caused the accident remains unknown.Whatever you did is right.Whose w
12、atch was lost is unknown.What we need is time.What we need are good doctors.【注意】 主语从句的时态:不受主句的时态影响和限制。 引导主语从句连词有that, whether, who, what, whatever等。 连词位于句首不能省略。 主语从句大多数情况下视为单三。 为了防止句子头重脚轻, 通常把形式主语 it 放在主语位置, 真正的主语从句搁置于句末。如: It is certain that he will w in the match.(4) and that s why we moved into t
13、he house on Mango Street. that s why 那就是为什么 【例句】 That s why he is late for school.(5) This was the house Papa talked about when he held a lottery ticket. talked about 过去分词做后置定语【例句】The glass broken by my son has been swept away.被我儿子打破的玻璃已经扫走了。Hangzhou, known to the nation for its West Lake, has chang
14、ed greatly.以西湖闻名全国的杭州已发生很大变化。(6) But the house on Mango Street is not the way they told it at all.the way +定语从句时,如果way 在定语从句中作状语,则引导词that/inwhich省略不用。【例句】I dont like the way in which/that/ 省略 you speak to me.(7) Mr. Chen suggested practising easy designs such as snowflakes. suggest doing sth. 建议做某事【
15、例句】 I suggested going for a walk. 我建议去散步。(8) our house would ne white with trees around it, a great big yard and grass growingwithout a fence.with 的复合结构with + 名词 + 介词短语We sat on the dry grass with our backs to the wall.我们坐在干草上背对着墙。He was asleep with his head on his arms.他枕着胳膊睡着了。with + 名词 +过去分词All the afternoon he worked with the door locked.整个下午他都在锁着门工作。John painted her sitting in a chair with her hands folded.约翰给她画了两手叠放坐在椅子上的肖像。with + 名词 +vingWith winter coming on, itime to s
