3、无实义,常省略。例如:She says _ she will leave a message.她说她将留言。(2) 由或引导。其意义是 例如:He asked me if/whether I could speak En glish.他问我是否会说英语。I wonder if/whether he is a teacher.我想知道他是否是一名教师。(3) 由连接代词(what, which, who, whom, whose)或连接畐U词(how, where, when, why )引导的宾语从句。例如:I can't un dersta ndyou said我不能理解你说的话。H

4、e wa nted to kn owthe buildi ng would be set up.他想知道这座楼房何时建成。(二) 主句与宾语从句的时态关系主句与宾语从句的时态关系有以下三种情况:(1) 若主句用了现在时,则宾语从句可用其所需要的任何时态。例如:I th ink he often books. ( read ) 我认为他经常读书。I think hehere tomorrow. ( come)我认为明天他会来这儿。He says that theyin Tokyo yesterday. (arrive )他说他们昨天至 U达了东京。rm sure that Li ndathere

5、 before. ( be )我确信琳达以前去过那儿。(2) 若主句用了过去时,则宾语从句需用 过去时态(一般过去时、过去进行时、 过去将来时、过去完成时)的某种形式。例如:He said heright. ( be )他说他是正确的。He said heTV at that time. ( watch)他说在那时他正在看电视。Tom told me that heto Mou nt Tai. ( travel )汤姆告诉我他将去泰山旅游。(3) 若宾语从句陈述的是 客观真理、客观事实、科学原理、格言、谚语等,则不受主句时态的限制,通常用一般现在时。例如:The teacher told us

6、 that the earthround the su n. ( move老 师告诉我们地球绕着太阳转。He said one and onetwo. ( be) 他说一加一等于二。(4) 注意语序,无论从句是什么句式,宾语从句必须是 序。Did you hear what I had said?I want to know if the train leaves at six p.m.He asked who the boy was look ing for.I don ' t know when he arrived.(5) if和whether引导宾语从句通常可互换,但在下列情况

7、下只可用whether。 介词后的宾语从句 直接与or not连用 在带to的不定式前I ' m thinking about(whher/if)we should go fishing.I don ' t know(whether/if)or not he passed the exam.She hasn' t decided(whether/if)to go or not.(6) 宾语从句与简单句的转换由特殊疑问句引导的宾语从句,当从句主语与主句主语一致时,宾语从句常简化 为勺形式。I don ' t know what I should do.=I don

9、ergro und stati on?=Could you tell meget to the nearest undergroundstatio n?【精讲点拨释疑解难】宾语从句:在复合句中作宾语的名词性从句,通常放在主句谓语动词(及物动词) 或介词之后。带有宾语从句的复合句就是用连接词把一个主句和一个宾语 从句连接在一起。宾语从句的连接词可分为以下几类:1) that引导的宾语从句,that在句中只起连接作用,无具体意义,不作句子的任何 成分,一般可以省略。2) Whether/if引导的宾语从句,作“是否”讲,在句中起连接作用,不作任何成分。3) 特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句(when wh

10、ere why how what who which whose whom) 连接代词what which who whom不仅起连接作用,还在句子中作主语, 宾语或表语。连接副词 when where why how分别在句子中作时间,地点,原因 和方式状语。连接词whose which在句中作定语。宾语从句的时态1)在宾语从句中,若主句的谓语动词是一般现在时,从句可根据需要用任何时态2)在宾语从句中,若主语的谓语动词是过去时态,则从句必须用和过去相关的 时态。宾语从句的语序应该用陈述句的语序,即“主语 +谓语+宾语”的顺序排列。将疑问句转化为宾语从句时,一定要将疑问语序需转变为陈述语序。【
