1、Unit 7 Reading BPOP STAR教学设计 教学设计理念(一)教材简析职业高中英语(提高版)第三册共10个单元,每个单元均以一个主要话题为主线,围绕该主线连缀“综合阅读”(Reading A)“听力训练(Listening),“口语训练”(speaking), “完全理解性阅读”(Reading B),“写作训练”(writing)和“语法”(Grammar)六个模块。我的课题是Unit 7 “Popular music and popular stars”的Reading B “Pop star”,整个单元围绕流行音乐展开讨论,是学生比较感兴趣的话题,也可以说是充斥在学生业余生

2、活之中的一个重要话题。本文在Reading A “Popular music”简单介绍20世纪欧美流行音乐,尤其是摇滚音乐的兴起和发展的前提下,又重点介绍了20世纪50年代曾红遍全美国的流行歌星Elvis Presley(猫王)。基于学生的基础和学习特点,我把Reading B 的学习分为三个课时,第一课时为单词的认读和学习,第二课时为课文内容的完全理解,第三课时为语言知识的学习和运用。本节为第二课时(完全理解)的内容。(二)学情分析与教学策略我所任教的08微机班已是高二,有一部分学生有一定的语言基础,学习较有主动性,但是仍有很大一部分学生在英语的学习上依然存在很大困难,学习兴趣不浓厚,上课注

3、意力分散,对学习效果有一定的影响。不过值得肯定的是他们大部分活泼好动,喜欢探究新事物,喜欢网络、歌星、球星、影星等。本课所要学习的Elvis对于现在的他们来说虽然似乎有些遥远,但我相信音乐的共性和对音乐的热衷会把学生很快带入课文的,同时我要运用灵活的课堂活动,利用能激起他们兴趣的多媒体课件和图片来集中他们的注意力,并创造条件和机会让学生发表见解,发挥他们的主动性。因此我运用了多媒体、录音机、竞赛用卡片、黑板等教具。(三)教学目标知识目标 掌握本课中的Hot words 和Useful expressions impress, demonstrate, outstanding, search,

4、numerous, despite, likely, live, worldwide work as, search for, in a row, star in能力目标1、听,通过听力练习能够把握单词的读音 2、读,通过阅读能够理解文章大意 3、说,通过理解能够复述课文情感目标1、通过小组活动和竞赛培养学生的团结合作精神 2、引导学生了解和欣赏流行音乐,认识和评价歌手 3、以猫王的成功来激力学生奋发向上(四)教学重点和难点重点:1、巩固新词汇 2、整体分析和理解文章难点:复述课文教学过程整个教学过程分为以下7个环节Warming up (words competition) Leading

5、in Listening Reading Speaking Exercise and Summary Homework具体操作如下:Step I .Warming Up (words competition)Ask each group to choose a word card that the students have prepared before and finish the words in groups, then the students show the words on the Bb and lead the others to read them. Leading in1.Show some pictures of some Chinese popular stars on the screen, ask the Ss to have short introductions about them(姓名,出生,成长经历,成名曲,成功历程等),which the Ss have collected from the internet.2.Revise the B

7、eatles in Reading A3.Play a short video about Elvis Presleys “Heartbreak Hotel”, then ask the Ss“Who is he? Do you something about him?”Maybe many Ss will say “NO”, this time Ill lead the Ss into the textToday we are going to know the popular star of America - Elvis Presley.Step III. Listening 1.Pla

8、y the tape for the Ss ask them to pay more attention to stress、intonation and pronunciation.2. Listen to the tape of the text again, let them follow it in a low voice and try to remember something, Then do an exercise on the screen. Answer the questions:Who is Elvis Presley? (Presley is known as an
