、which follow our basic country conditions. here i put my eyes on the middle school teaching mainly. not only on the teaching aspect but also on the learning aspect i will give a discussion and statement.now we enter into the 21st century which is a fast changing and a full of vigors society. having

、timely a good method in middle school english teaching is very necessary especially for a high efficient method. the reason why my attention to this subject is that most northwest part of our county schools teaching ways dont leave away from the traditional method, even some south parts. when i did

、my duty in wu su no.1 middle school on october 5th, 2005, i dictated that all the english teachers want to teach their students as much as possible, and most students want to have a good english marks and learning ability, but after their longtime great effects, their bear fruits are always a little

、.ii. theoretical groundsthe concept of inspired teaching method is based on the theories of modern , ancient education method and some survey papers.tao xingzhi, who is a famous educator of our country, stated a theory compose of five libations. the first is to liberate the childrens mind. intending

、 to develop the childrens creativity, the primary duty is to liberate the childrens mind from superstition, prejudice, misinterpret, and illusion. the second is to emancipate childrens hands. truth comes after practices; the practices depend on hands. people cannot live without hands. the third is t

、o set the childrens mouths free. he believed that only children get the freedom of speaking, particularly the freedom of asking, and his creative ability can be fully developed. there are thousand inventions, but all the start of them are asking questions ; the cause of people are superior to animal

、s is people understand how to ask questions, the intelligence have the smart questions, however, the foolishness have stupid questions. the forth is to liberate the childrens space. he believed that the old school like a bird cage, the improved school is an enlarger bird cage. we emancipate children

、 space; let them close to the flowers, trees, green mountains, blue water, sun, moon, stars of nature and scholars, farmers, workers, businessmen and other special skill people. the fifth is to set childrens time free, let them control their time. the five liberation “theory” is got from tao xinzhi

、long time creative teaching and studying, then it returns to the students and teachers. an unpredicted influence will be formed in china teaching process.as a research shows that people have many purposes to study a language. we can accord these to improve the teaching results.1) people learn langua

、ge for different reason 2) people learn language for different ways 3) people have different understandings about language learning 4) people have different capabilities in language learning thus the challenge the language teacher is confronted with is how teaching metrology can cater for learners w

、ho have more differences than commonalties. as the author said “if i were a teacher, my philosophy for teaching is based primarily on the structural learning theory, and the theory suggested by several different researchers that students learn from the concrete to the abstract. therefore, the order

、of the skills, the time spent on task, and the process of moving from concrete examples to abstract concepts will be reflected in my teaching. both deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning are needed in the decision making process. when possible, decisions should be based on facts that are known

、about the particular system in which you are working. these two types of reasoning will also be reflected in my teaching. the method will have three steps, recognition, recall and reaction. i will let students how to recognize a problem, recall a scheme to attack the problem and react to the situati

、on by using the scheme. when i model problems for a class, i will lead them through the problem by asking questions. my questions give students an opportunity to get involved in the discussion. this method was chosen because students need to be actively involved in the learning process if they are g

、oing to be successful. students will not be penalized if they choose not to participate in the class discussion.” confucius, who was also a famous educator of our country, promoted the inspiration education, he said “teaching students, do not indicate him unless he wants to know but he puzzled by it

、; do not enlighten him unless he wants to say but do not own how to say. pointing out one aspect of the affair inspires him, but if he cannot infer other relative things, i no longer tell him. although this famous speaking was written thousand years ago, it is still useful for todays school teaching

、. actually all the theories talked above are belong to the inspired method at some point, in other word, each of them contain some elements of inspired teaching principle. we can draw something that is useful for our teaching and give up something that is useless. we combine the advantages of the an

、language can teach it very well. through the discussion of this problem, we can gradually improve this matter, because as a good teacher should have three aspects: ethic devotion, professional qualities and personal styles. person who has g good command of english may not be a good teacher, because

、she/he might have only one of the elements of professional competence. here, the assessment of a good teacher is whose teaching way can benefit a lot to students. actually, that all is dependent on the teachers attitude.there are two categories of teaching for chinese english teachers. one kind of t

、eaching is that teaching is that teachers have a strong sense of responsibility for their teaching career and seem eager to teach their students whatever they know. they are the busiest persons in english class. trying their best to explain the essay clearly and tell students other words and phrases

、 related to the teaching material as possible as they can in case something is left and students cant get high scores in the examination. what the students can do is only listening to the teachers and occasionally answering some questions. another kind of teaching is that when teachers teach they ar

、y is the one which we are looking after and also is my writings main discussion point.in junior middle school, there is more perceptual knowledge and mechanical memory, but in senior middle school, there is more rational knowledge, comprehensive memory is more useful and important. the teacher shoul

、d not only ask the students to understand some repeated words with a lot of meanings and usages but also make sure they can use them.3.1.2 students problemsa survey paper about 60 students attitude toward english teaching of wusu in no. 1 middle school.1. do you like studying english, why?here are 4

、9students who like english. the main reason is that they think english is very useful for their feature life, but the students who really like english are less than 20. however, the students who bored english are only 8 students, and only 2 students wondering about. the principle reason for them is

、that they have difficulties studying english, not only the vocabulary, but also the grammar difficult to them.2. do you think the teachers method is traditional, whether or not?most students think their teachers methods are not traditional, but i think their teaching ways are traditional. for them,

、the best explanation is that most students come from countryside; even some of them have not been out of their hometown (province). in their village, they received the typical traditional teaching method. so as they come to a small city in which its teaching ways are more traditional than many weste

、rn parts of our country, let alone the east part which is the developed area of our country, they feel they touch the advanced teaching ways, actually these methods were passed by some developed parts at least 10 years in our country.3.whether or not do you think the studying time occupied your rest

、 and entertainment time?most students answer is yes except a few persons who are the top students think not, because they can quickly finish their works. for the adolescence students, its unbelievable to let them sit on the desk whole day. if they were bored by one subject, thats a difficult job for

、 us to make him or her be interest in it. this influence the harmful is uncertain. maybe for a whole life, thats the reason why many students math is very good but their english marks are always not pass 60 for at the beginning many english teacher ways were very bad. we get knowledge that put our e

、yes on the high marks only. vocabulary, grammar, is their main concerned things. the needs of our students are more than the products of our teachers. we, the features builders must realize that this situation is the time to be changed. its the time to kick these methods to the garbage box. we shoul

、d adopt the inspired teaching method.4. do you think what things we should learn from the text?there are 3 kinds of answers to this question. i). we should learn something about history, culture, ect. of the world.ii) we should learn the ways how to be a moral person or a good person and how to fish

、.iii) we should improve our oral english, listening and the common knowledge about wto.according to the 4 questions analysis, to improve the teaching efficiency, especially for some remote area, a new method should be introduced; i strongly promote the inspired teaching method. because its an econom

、ic project, we do not need spent much money on it. its a good method for the western parts which are the less rich parts of our country.we put our stress on the software (teachers) not the hardware (high technology tools) which is the necessary requirement of developed parts.a contrast exemplify stu

、dy will be conducted here with the object to find the common bright aspects and with a piece of a survey paper about 120 students who show their views about their english teaching and learning. e.g. .in real life, language is used to perform certain communicative functions; in traditional pedagogy,

、the teaching focus is on form rather than functions. so when students have learned a lot of sentences or patterns, they do not know their functions. thus they are unable to use them appropriately in real social situations. for various reasons, traditional pedagogy tends to focus on one or two langua

、ge skills and ignore the others. for example, due to the needs of language writing skills virtually ignored listening and speaking skills. in real language we use all skills, including the receptive skills of listening and reading, and the productive skills of speaking and writing.in reality, langua

、ge is always used in a certain context, but traditional pedagogy tends to isolate language from its context. for example, in traditional pedagogy, when the english passive voice is introduced, the teacher tries to present how the object in an active sentence is moved to the front of a passive voice,

、 the teacher tries to present how the verb is changed to an auxiliary plus an ed form of the original verb. then the students will ask when the passive is used and why they should learn it. in many cases the teacher may explain the reasons, one of which is, when it is not necessary to tell who has d

、one the action, the passive is used. then the students will ask another question “why is it not necessary to tell who has done the action?” students keep asking questions because the grammar pattern is taken away from the language context. if the teaching of the passive point starts with examples fr

、om real language use in context, students will keep asking questions.3.2 solutions about these problemsclassroom management is one of the most important factors that contribute to the efficiency of the teaching and learning activities. the most effective activities can be made almost useless if the

、teacher does not organize them efficiently. classroom management is the way teachers organize what goes on in the classroom. the goal of classroom management is to create an atmosphere conductive to interacting with students in english in meaningful ways. 3.2.1 first we discuss the role of the teach

、erwe are going to discuss the most common roles that teachers play in presenting foreign language teaching.controller. an appropriate degree of control by the teacher over the class is vital in formal language teaching. the teacher controls the pace so that activities ran smoothly and efficiently. f

、or instance, when students do skimming and scanning tasks, it is very important for the teacher to control the time.assessor. it is generally believed that it is a major part of a teachers job to assess the students work, as an assessor, the teacher does two things: they are correcting mistakes and

、organizing feedback. e.g, when a student has made a sentence with “borrow,” “i borrowed a paper to write a letter.” the teacher says, “we dont say a paper, we say a piece of paper.”organizer. the most important and difficult role that the teacher has to play is to be an organizer. nowadays many appr

、oaches and methods advocate task based on learning activates. so one of the teachers major responsibilities is to design and organize tasks that students can carry out in the class.promoter. when students are not sure how to start an activity, or what to do next, or what to say next, the teacher sho
