Seismo-electromag netic precursor: This is a very reliable precursor. It occurs and is exhibited about

9、10 to 20 hours before the quake. Animal precursor: It is seen that 10 to 20 hours before the occurrenee of an earthquake, the en tire ani mal kin gdom becomes highly disturbed and restless. Huma n precursor: Doctors and nu rses observe that some sen sitive patie nts in hospitals become highly distur

But first I dke you to lear n about the two famous earthquakes: The Tan gsha n Earthquake and The Califor nia Earth

11、quake.At 3:42 a.m. on July 28, 1976, a magn itude 7.8 earthquake hit the sleep ing city of Tan gsha n, innortheastern China. The very large earthquake, striking an area where it was totally unexpected, wiped out the city of Tangshan and killed over 240,000 people - making it the deadliest earthquake

12、 of the twen tieth cen tury.The California earthquake of April 18, 1906 is one of the most significant earthquakes of all time.Deaths: 3,000Injuries: 225,000Property Damage: $ 400,000,000 in 1906 $2.
