4、 answers.While students are listing out the names of food, the teacher writes down the words on the blackboard. Then the teacher focuses on the target words for this course which are also listed on the blackboard. And then explain the new words which are provided.Fruit: lemon, watermelon,orange,bana

5、na, apple,strawberry, pear.Drink: coke, tea, coffee, juice, lemonade. Food: sandwich, smoothie, hamburger. ingredient: yogurt, cinnamon,Ask students some questions like this:1. Do you eat hamburgers? 2. Are the hamburgers delicious?3. Do you know how to make a hamburger?Ask students to introduce ste

6、ps of making one kind of food which they know very well. The teacher shows the target language with an example:Do you ever eat a banana smoothie? Do you know how to make it?Here are some new words that we must learn because they are concerned with the process of making a banana smoothie.Blender, tur

7、n on, cut up, peel, pour , put,drinkIngredient: yogurt, banana, milkAsk students to look at the picture on Page 41. Divide the class into groups of four to talk about the picture with each other by describing a process of how to make a banana smoothie. Then complete the blanks in the picture with th

8、 words in 1a. The teacher moves around the room and gives support as needed. Then check the answers according to the pictures:1.drink the smoothie 2.cut up the banana 3.pour the milk into the blender4.peel the bananas 5.turn on the blender 6.put the bananas and yogurt in the blender.Remind students

9、that every food has its own steps in the process. Ask students to listen to the tape and put the instructions in the correct order. After that ask students to make a dialogue about the process of how to make a banana smoothie with their partne

11、r: A: How do you make a banana smoothie?B: Peel the bananas.A:What do you do then?B:Cut up the bananas.A: What do you do next?B:Put the bananas and yogurt into the blender.A:What else do you do ?B: Of course. Pour the milk into the blender.A: Is that all?B: No. Turn on the blender and wait for a few

12、 minutes. Then you can drink the smoothie.The teacher moves around the classroom and give some help as needed. Ask pairs of students to show their work. Praise them for their excellent performance. Step 3: Look, Listen and Write2a & 2b provide guided listening and writing practice using the target l

13、anguage. The teacher asks students to look at the picture on P42, and asks students some questions about the picture like this: T: What are Maria and Katie doing? S: They are making fruit salad. T: How many bananas do they need? S: They need three bananas. T: How much cinnamon do they need? S: They

14、need one teaspoon of cinnamon. T: How much yogurt do they need? S: They need one cup of yogurt. Now ask students to listen to the tape and write the names of the ingredients under “How much or How many” in the chart below.The teacher palys the recorder. While students are listening, they are writing

15、 the names in the chart.
