3、hing Material(教材分析,一)Status and function (地位与作用 ) 1.This unit is the Unit 8.of Gor for It of grade seven.(新目标英语七年级上)Focus on the theme of When is your birthday? ,carrying out all kinds of teaching activities, which is the key part of this unit, is the core of this lesson , mainly studies the express
4、ions of date . It is the continuation of the study on number in Unit 7, including the English teaching of date , it play an important role in the future English study . 2.This lesson is the first part of Unit 8.So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this
5、unit. 3.Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English,二) Analysis of the students(学情分析,The students has learned English for several years so far. They can understand some words and some simp
6、le sentences. They have accumulated a certain amount of vocabulary, and master some related listening skills,三)Teaching aims and demands(教学目标和要求,1.Knowledge goals(知识目标):to make the Ss know how to express the date (year month ,day ). A. The vocabulary: master January - December expression; Ordinal Nu

Grammar: date expression,2.Ability goals (能力目标 ) A.To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. B.To train the Ss ability of working in pairs. C.To develop the Ss abilities of com
8、munication by learning the useful vocabulary and English sentences patterns “When is your birthday? ”and the answer,3.Moral objects:(情感态度). Such a topic is related to daily life ,it can promote the students friendship with their classmates and friends , improving the relationship with their parents
9、through talking about their familys and friends birthdays,1.Key points: (1) to master the expressions of the date ,and the sentence pattern “When is your birthday? My birthday is .” (2).To help the Ss to communicate with each other. (3).To enable the Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.

Task-based” teaching method (任务型教学法) As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mai
12、nly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key points of the listening . Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange kinds of activities: reading ,talking, listening , watchi
13、ng ppt and pair work,Part Three Teaching Procedure,First, I will hang a DIY calendar on the blackboard, introducing each month,at the same time , let students watch the courseware. Let the students listen to the pronunciation, pointing to the calendar, this is January, this is February. , lead the s
14、tudents to read several times; Then play part 1a of the recording, let the students imitate the pronunciation,Then ,I ask the students , “When is your birthday? ,let the students watch the calendar and answer: My birthday is .thus though interaction, students begin to learn these two patterns,Later,
15、 I play the recording of part lb, let the students listen to the tape, and lead students to choose the order of the dialogue and complete the teaching task of part lb according to what they hear. At last , play the tape again , checking the answer .Divide the students into groups , ask them to do the pair work , complete the oral communication teaching tasks of part lc, then students know how to talk about the date,Part four Evaluation,This lesson is a leading
