Show students the study aims of this lesson including the past continuous with when, while and as and the new phrases. 2. lead in the new phrases through asking and an
4、swering questions, guessing the pictures, and loudly reading .Step 2 cooperative learning1. Word review: Divide the class into 4 groups, and see which group can answer the questions about the new words just learnt as quickly as possible.2. Pre-reading: Look at the picture and say whats happening.3.
5、Skimming: Read the passage as quickly as they can, and then say what happens in the passage.4. Scanning: Finish Task4 on Page 67 using the skill of scanning. 5. Intensive reading: Put the 6 pictures in the PPT into the correct order according to the passage, paying attention to the past continuous w
6、ith when, while and as.6. Deep understanding: Students discuss and answer the question “Why did Henry take a photo of the snake?”7.
