2、出版社. 教学目的要求： 此课程要求学生大量阅读美国文学发展的各个历史阶段的主要作家的代表作品，使他们能够将文学作品与特定的历史时期相联系，正确把握各个作家的创作思想、主题、题材和风格，领会文学作品中深刻的社会意义及强大的感染力，逐步培养学生阅读，欣赏和理解文学作品的能力。本学期文学史课结束时，学生应能分清楚美国历史上各时期的文学流派及其杰出代表作家作品。提高教学质量、培养学生创新精神和实践能力的主要措施：1 根据本学科课程的特殊性，在课堂教学中，以教师讲解为主， 其间辅以学生讨论和做课堂陈述，课堂演示， 在教师讲解文学发展史的基础上， 培养学生判断能力和学习能力。2 结合所学内容， 安排几次

3、学生主讲课堂， 采用提问，质疑的方式，检查学生对文学史的掌握和理解。3 充分发挥多媒体教学手段的优势，适当增加课堂信息量，激发学生的学习兴趣。4 结合文学发展史，辅以经典历史影片，使学生对某一个特殊的历史发展理解更深刻。教学方法与教学手段：方法：以讲授为主，学生课堂讨论为辅，配以适当数量的学生学期论文写作。手段：主要采用多媒体教学。主要参考书（名称、编著者、出版时间、出版社）：1.美国文学作品选读，常耀信，2004年9月，南开大学出版社2.美国文学欣赏，吴定柏，2002年12月，上海外语教育出版社3.美国文学简史，常耀信，2004年9月，南开大学出版社.备注：1、授课计划一式3份，一份教师自存
