Section A(2d-3c)【教学目标】1. 知识与技能:记忆单词:outside, wear, important, bring, uniform, quiet短语:have to, be quiet, my first day at school2.过程与方法:通过两人一组合作和角色扮演的方式,在情景交际中练习谈论校规,了解书面语与口头语之间的表达方式。3.情感态度和价值观:了解校规的内容,提高遵守校规的主动性。【教学重点】 学习写规则。 用问答形式讨论规则。【教学难点】如何讨论规则。【教学方法】合作交流【课前准备】PPT 活动卡片 【课时安排】一课时【教学过程】Step 1 .Lead in【情景】1.Warm up by reviewing the school rules in 1a and talking about the students breaking the school rules.T: Good morning/ afternoon, boys and girls.Ss: Good morning/ afternoon, Mr./Ms. XX.The teacher shows the school rules in 1a and get Ss to read and talk about them.A: What are the school rules?B: We cant arrive late for class. We must be on time for class.A: Can we run in the hallways?B: No, we cant run in the hallways. Look! The rule says, “Dont run in the hallways.”Ss practice asking and answering about the school rules in 1a.2.The teacher shows the picture of 1a. Ask the class to talk about the students who are breaking the rules.T: (Point to the boy running.) What rule is the boy breaking?Ss: Hes running in the hallways. The rule says, “Dont run in the hallways.”设计意图通过对话,复习相关的校规,轻松进入谈论规章制度的语境,利用PPT展示书面规则和违反规定的情境,让学生容易地运用目标句型,运用情态动词口语表达出书面的校规。Step 2 Reading and role-playing(2d)1.Before reading the conversation, the teacher helps the class to know what the conversation is about.T: When you have to go to a new school, you want to be a good student so you may want to know about school rules. John is a new student. Lets see what rules his new school has.2. T: Now open your books and read the conversation.Get the students to read and answer the questions.T: What are John and Alice talking about?Ss: School rules.T: How many rules does Alice mention?Ss: Four rules.T: Now read the conversation more carefully. And try to answer this question: What rules does the school have?Ss read and answer it.The teacher gets the students to answer and show them by PPT.Dos: Wear the school uniform. Be quiet in the library.Donts: Dont be late for school. Dont bring music players to school.3.T: Can you find the model verbs and say their meanings? Pay attention to the meanings of “must” and “have to”.Then listen and repeat the conversation. Learn the pronunciation and intonation.T: This time you can repeat after the teacher. And you must imitate the intonation.Then show the conversation on the PPT and then erase some phrases or sentences. Get the students to do the disappearing dialog exercise. And then get them to recite or role-play the dialogue.These items should be explained.教材解读This is a great school, but there are a lot of rules. 短语a lot of意思是“大量,许多(个)”,可以接可数名词,相当于many,也可以接不可数名词,相当于much。I have a lot of work from morning till night.我从早到晚事情很多。He reads a lot of books after school every day.他每天放学后阅读大量书籍。设计意图读前先帮学生进入情境,阅读中提问以加深理解对话的内容,并让学生探究情态动词的用法,学习语言知识。最后通过disappearing dialog训练学生对知识的记忆和口头表达能力。当堂掌握对话。Step 4 Grammar Focus1.T: (Play the PPT and get the students to read them aloud.) Please read the questions and answers in Grammar Focus.2.(Learn the grammar.)T: Look at these sentences. Think of these questions:(1) How to make a negative imperative?(2) The same use of the model verbs.(3) The use of “can” in this unit and in the other units.(4) The differences between “have to” and other model verbs.3.Ss discuss these questions. Then the teacher explains and teaches the language points.设计意图通过本单元的语言材料,通过提问引起学生对重点内容的注意,学生总结归纳英语语法要点, 对重点内容精听精解, 易于学习掌握。Step 5 Practice (3a-3b)1.T: Now, lets look at picture 1 in Activity 3a. Can we talk in the library?Get Ss to answer.Ss: No, we cant.T: Yes, the picture shows “Dont talk.” We must be quiet.T: What cant students do in Picture 2?Ss: They cant eat or drink.T: It shows “Dont eat or drink.”T: What about Picture 3?2.T: Look at 3a. Now, write Library Rules. DontSs write the rules. And read to their partners to check the writing.3.After that, come to Activity 3b. Make questions and write answers using the words. In this way students can retell the library rules using model verbs, have to and can.T: Does she have to be quiet in the library?Ss: Yes, she does.T: We can put “can” in front of a sentence to make a question. But when we say have to/has to, we must use “does/do”.Students write the questions and answers in their books.【Keys】3a: Answers will vary. Q: Can we listen to music in the hallways? A: No, we cant.Wear a hat? Q: Can we wear a hat in the classroom? A:No, we cant.设计意图根据语法内容的总结之后,让学生进行写句练习,从书面形式的Dont祈使句到口头形式的情态动词的句子,巩固所学的语法知识。Step 6 Practice (3c)1. T: Do you have any ideas for a dream school? What rules do we have? Please write rules for your dream school.2.Students talk about their dream school.Ss: At my dream school, we dont have to come to school every day. We can learn on the Internet at home.设计意图在老师的指导下学生独自完成任务,使语法知识得到运用。Step 7 Summary and AssignmentT: In this class, we must learn how to use “dont” and “can, cant, must, have to” to talk about school rules.
