Period 1 (Section A 1a2c)一、Teaching aims:(一)、语言目标1)短语和单词do homework, watch TV, clean, eat dinner, read a newspaper, talk on the phone, listen to a CD,use the computer,make soup,wash the dishes, exercise.2)句型结构What are you doing? Im watching TV.Whats he/she doing? He/Shes reading.What are they doing ? Theyre watching TV.3)语法The Structure of the Present Continuous Tense (二)、语言技能1)能用现在进行时的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。2)能掌握现在进行时态及一些表示具体动作的词组搭配,如:doing homework, watching TV, eating dinner 等。(三)、学习策略1)通过教学,要求学生能准确地表达正在发生或进行的动作。2)合作学习3)探究学习(四)、情感态度本单元的活动在于培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感,培养学生团结合作的精神。(五)、文化意识了解学习西方人是如何表达或描述正在进行的动作。二、Teaching key points:1、重点:词汇学习日常行为的动词。 语言结构What am I doing? What are you doing? What is he / she doing? What are they doing?及其回答,并注意动词现在分词的变化规则。三、 Teaching Procedures:Step 1 lead in:listen to a song (Are you eating?)T:Do you like this song?The song talks about what people are doing,right?Today well learn to talk about what people are doing?Unit6-Im watching TV.Step 2 Presentation1.Show some pictures,then ask(T:Can you name the activities?)Then making sure students can master the words and phrases as follows:clean,watch TV,listen to a CD,read a newspaper, use the computer ,make soup,wash the dishes,exercise2.have a test on the words and phrases (T:Who is the best one?If you see the Chinese,please show me your hands ,stand up and say it in English,OK?)3.open the book,work on 1a and match the activities with the pictures.Step 3 Ask and answer (1)Show pictures and practice the present continuous tense. T: He is playing basketball. T: What is he doing? SS: Hes playing basketball now. Show some pictures to the students.T: What is he doing? (Picture 1 watching TV)S1: He is watching TV. (others repeat)T: What is she doing? (Picture 2 doing homework)S2: She is doing homework.(others repeat)T: What are they doing? (Picture 3 playing basketball)S3: They are playing basketball.(others repeat)T: What is Kate doing? (Picture 4 cleaning the room)S4: She is cleaning the room. (others repeat) do-doing / watch-watching / play-playing /clean-cleaning Step 4 Pair work Show some pictures and let the students ask and answer in pairs. What are you doing ? I am eating. What is he doing? He is doing homework. What are they doing? Theyre playing basketball.Step 5 GameHave a guessing game.Let them guess what people are doing?When they guess,they can say like this:“Is he/she drinking/?or are they dancing/?”Step 6 Listening(1b,2a,2b)In this period, if they have any question,they are allowed to listen it again.Step 7 Group work What is the present continuous tense and the strusture of it. Please discuss it with your partners.Four people in one gruup. What are you doing ? I am writing. What is he/ she doing ? He/ Shes reading. Is he/ she reading? Yes, he/ she is. No, he/ she isnt. (1)归纳出现在进行时的定义(2)归纳现在进行时的谓语动词be+v-ing (3) 归纳出动词变现在分词的规律a.一般在动词原形后直接加ing b.以不发音字母e 结尾的动词,去e 加ingc.以“1元+1辅”结尾的动词,且是重读闭音节的单词,双写辅音字母+ing.Step 8 Do some exercises一、用所给词的适当形式填空。1.What are you doing now?
