So the film is obvious to talk about the total life of Mrs. Thatcher, especially about her political life. These two films have the same theme to portray females, and both of them demonstrate the special mental activities of women who were at the prime of their career and had the great rights. After I have known the main ideas of the films, I will analyze the details of the two films and compare their similarities and differences.Firstly, the first film told us that the Queen Elizabeth II accepted royal and sound education in her childhood. Her nobility position guaranteed that she must learn noble etiquettes and have good qualifications. The background of the era of her accession and the unstable global situation structured the characters of Elizabeth like superior and persistent. The Princess Diana was a normal citizen and didnt have the predominant condition matched the Prince Charles. Those obvious gaps resulted that Elizabeth disagreed with the actions accessing to the citizens taken by the Princess Diana and looked down her low family background from the lower class. The Queens attitude towards Diana implied the trouble in the next week of Dianas death. While, Mrs. Thatcher was given birth to by a grocery boss, then her family background had been a standing joke. Even she became the member of the cabinet or became the Prime Minister, and she was discriminated by others. These factors lead to her personal features of persistent and stronghearted, which results in her alias “the iron lady”.Secondly, two female leaders had the similar condition of family problems. Elizabeth didnt have good relationship with her son Prince Charles. Charles always thought her mother was so concessive and had bias for Diana, thus he strived to get access to the Prime Minister Blair so that the queen will got pressure from Blair and changed. Mrs. Thatcher had a husband loved her so much, and a lovely twin. But because of her pursuit for political achievement, she didnt felt alienation from her husband and children until she found her husband was angry for her actions and left for the South Africa. Due to these same family problems, we cant help doubting about whether the condition would happen to all the capable women.Thirdly, these two women still had their vulnerability. Both the queen cried in the forest alone and Mrs. Thatcher who often talked to her imaginary after her husbands death let people to see the female internal feature vividly. No matter how strong they acted in the superficial level, they still have vulnerable facets of women. No matter how they were bright in the positions as leaders, in fact, they were still common females and had ordinary emotions. No matter people admired them or criticized them, they had made many efforts in the process of pursing what they want. Besides two womens similarities, they still have their own special features. The differences of the two characters are easier to find. Because the United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy, the Queen is a symbol of the country without having real rights, and Elizabeth had to submit to the cabinet. Required by the Prime Minister Blair and the public, the Queen felt stressful. So she participated in the funeral of the Princess Diana finally.In contrast to Elizabeths submission, this condition would never happen on Mrs. Thatcher. Experiences of female discrimination and her own lofty belief formed her personalities which were never to give up and submit to anyone. Although she felt frightened of the explosion event and cried for the war, she needed to maintain her impression -“the iron lady” among the public and kept her persistence and bravery. In the end, I want to say no matter Elizabeth II or Mrs. Thatcher, they are all outstanding characters and they are all have their own distinctive charm in the war of striving for the rights and higher position.Elizabeth II
