1 Good Morning SunshineGood morning sunshine,阳光早安youre my only light唯你是我光源lying with me by my side,请陪伴我身边you keep me warm all day 让我整日温暖 When the sun is up, 日上三竿on a clear blue sky,青天湛蓝you will act like a lover你像恋人,形影相伴When the sky is grey,乌云满天and the rain comes down,细雨绵绵you will run for the cover你也逃离,踪迹不见When its cloudy and windy或有风云起and the snowflakes arrive,亦会雪满天you somehow just make me feel Im alive有你吾生义更显Feel the heat, come out of cold,穿透阴寒,贡献温暖and your arm is touching me拥我入怀Good morning sunshine,阳光早安be with me all day与我整日相伴(程若水译)January 1st One Whats your life? However mean your life is,meet it and live it;do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are.It looks poorest when you are richest. The fault-finder will find faults in paradise.Love your life, poor as it is.You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poor-house.The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich mans abode;the snow melts before its door as early in the spring.I do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there, and have as cheering thoughts,as in a palace. The towns poor seem to me often to live the most independent lives of any.May be they are simply great enough to receive without misgiving. Most think that they are above being supported by the town, but it often happens that they are not above supporting themselves by dishonest means.Which should be more disreputable.Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage.Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends, turn the old, return to them.Things do not change;we change.Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts. 2 January 2nd Two Success in LifeSuccess means different things for different people. Some may equate it with fame, some with wealth and still some with accomplishments. For me, it means fulfilling ones dreams. Whatever your dreams are, you have a goal there and then focus all your attention on it. Dreams bring you hope and happiness. In the process of struggling for it, you cry, sweat, complain or even curse, but the joy of harvesting makes you forget all the pains and troubles you have gone through. So an old proverb says that the sweetest fruit is one that has undergone the bitterest ordeal. There are several keys to success. First, your goal must be practical and practicable. If you set your goal too high, chances are that you will never attain it. Next, you have to make a plan of doing it. You can take some steps to realize it. Since the process is quite tough, you need to be diligent, patient and persevering. Even if you meet with some difficulties or frustrations, just take them in your stride. You can always tell yourself that there is nothing insurmountable. With this will and determination, success is sure to wait for you at the end of the tunnel!3I will avoid with fury the killers of time. Procrastination I will destroy with action; Doubt I will bury with faith; Fear I will dismeber with confidence.Where there are idle mouths I will listen not; Where there are idle hands I will linger not; Where there are idle bodies I will visit not. Henceforth I know that to court idleness is to steal food, clothing and warmth from those I love. I am not a thief. I am a man of love and today is my last chance to prove my love and my greatness. The duties of today I shall fulfill today. Today I shall fondle my children while they are young; Tomorrow they will be gone, and so will I. Today I shall embrance my woman with sweet kisses; tomorrow she will be gone, and so will I.Today I shall lift up a friend in need;tomorrow he will no longer cry for help, nor will I hear his cries. Today I shall give myself in sacrifice and work;tomorrow I will have nothing to give, and there will be none to receive. And if it is the last, it will be my great monument. This day I will make the best day of my life. This day I will drink every minute to its full. I will savor its taste and give thanks. I will make the every hour count and each minute I will trade only for something of value. I will labor harder than ever before and push my muscles until they cry for relief.4 The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what the other people think, say,or do.It is more important than the appearance, the giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company,a church ,a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day, regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.We cannot change our past.We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one stage we have. And that is our attitudes.I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me ,and ninety percent how I react to it.And so it is with you.We are in charge of our attitudes.5 Once a circle missed a wedge. The circle wanted to be whole, so it went around looking for its missing piece. But because it was incomplete and therefore could roll only very slowly, it admired the flowers along the way. It chatted with worms. It enjoyed the sunshine. It found lots of different pieces, but none of them fit. So it left them all by the side of the road and kept on searching. Then one day the circle found a piece that fit perfectly. It was so happy. Now it could be whole, with nothing missing. It incorporated the missing piece into itself and began to roll. Now that it was a perfect circle, it could roll very fast, too fast to notice flowers or talk to the worms. When it realized how different the world seemed when it rolled so quickly, it stopped, left its found piece by the side of the road and rolled slowly away. There is a wholeness about the person who has come to terms with his limitations, who has been brave enough to let go of his unrealistic dreams and not feel like a failure for doing so. There is a wholeness about the man or woman who has learned that he or she is strong enough to go through a tragedy and survive, she can lose someone and still feel like a complete person. 6 Today I shed my old skin which hath ,too long ,suffered the bruises of failure and wounds of mediocrity.Today I will pluck grapes of wisdom from the tallest and fullest vines in the vineyard, for these were planted by the wisest of my profession who have come before me ,generaton upon generation.Today I will savor the taste of grapes from these vines and verily I will swallow the seed of success buried in each and new life will sprout within me .The career I have chosen is laden with opportunity yet it is fraught with heartbreak and despair and the bodies of those who have failed ,were they piled one to another ,would cast a shadow down upon all the pyramids of the earth.Yet failure no longer will be my payment for struggle just as nature made no provision for my body to tolerate pain neither has it made any provision for my life to suffer failure.Failure ,like pain ,is provision for my life to past I accepted it as I accepted pain ,Now I reject it and I am prepared for wisdom and principles which will guide me out of the shadows into the sunlight of wealth, position ,and happiness far beyond my most extravagant dreams until even the golden apples in the Garden of Hesperidins will seem no more than my just reward.7 January 7th 7 Golden WindowsThere was a small boy living on a farm, he needed to get up before sunrise every morning to start his chores and out again later to do the evening ones. During sunrise he would take a break and climb up on the fence. So in the distance he could see the house with golden windows. He thought, how great it would be to live there! And his mind would wander to imagine the modern equipment and appliances that might exist in the house. He then promised to himself, “ some day I will go there and see this wonderful place.” Then, one morning his father told him to stay at home and his fater would do the chores. Knowing that this was the chance, he packed the sandwich and headed acrossed the fields towards the house with the golden windows. As the afternoon went on, he begin to realize how he misjudged the distance and something else was very wrong. As he approached the house, he saw no golden windows but instead a place in bad need of painting surrounded by a broked-down fence. He went to the tattered screen door and knocked. A small boy very close to his age opened the door. He asked him if he had seen the house with the golden windows. The boy said, “sure, I know!” And invited him to sit on the porch. As he sat there, he looked back from where he just came, where the sunset turned the windows on his home to gold. 8 The time you spend at the office may be the most stressful part of your day, but it doesnt have to be. You have a greater ability to shape your office environment than you may realize.Take breaks throughout the day. It will help clear your mind and relieve pressure. Something as simple as going to the water cooler for a drink may do the trick. To help your workday go smoothly, try pacing your activities: Do more demanding work in the morning, when your energy level is higher, and easier work later in the day, when you may be tired.Try listening to music recordings, such as a pounding surf or songbirds, to help you relax. Such tapes are sold commercially. Use headphones if youll be listening to them in the middle of the workday.Get to work early or stay late once a week. You may be able to accomplish more when you vary your routine. If your stress comes from job insecurity, take stock of yourself.Update your resume, and remind yourself of your skills and strengths. Also, make sure you keep up with new developments in your field. This will make you valuable to employers.Dont let work rumors, which are usually false, cause you worry. A co-worker may just be thinking out loud about worst-case scenarios. 9 anuary 9th Nine Sizzle! Sizzle!Everyone likes excitement. When people bubble with personal energy, others enjoy being around them. Business firms like to hire a staff that brings zest to the establishment. Some national restaurant chains, for example, train their staff to form an impromptu ensemble and sing “Happy Birthday” or “Happy Anniversary” to their customers on special occasions. It produces more than noise. People keep coming back. One restaurant, knowing how people respond to excitement, devised a special plan. When a customer ordered a steak dinner, the chef placed the meal on a hot steel plate. Then, just before the waiter left the kitchen, he would drop an ice cube on the platter. The waiter was instructed, “Walk slowly to the table. We want everyone to hear the sound of that hot platter.” It wasnt the steak that was sizzling, but the ice. The plan worked like instant advertising. If customers were in the process of ordering, theyd hear that sound and choose a steak. The sizzle produced the sale.Today, think creatively. Ask yourself, “How can I add some excitement to what I plan to de
