山东人学硕i ：学位论义 摘要 广告不仅是一种商业活动，更是一种文化活动，因此广告翻译不仅涉及语言 的转换，也涉及文化的转换，而归化和异化是用来处理语言和文化差异的两种策 略。尽管随着文化交流的逐渐加深，越来越多的学者主张文学翻译应以异化为主， 以达到文化交流和传播的目的，所以文学翻译圈内出现了一种异化的趋势。但就 实用文本尤其是广告翻译而言，作者认为以归化为主，异化为辅。本文旨在探讨 以归化为主的广告翻译。 德国的功能理论出现于7 0 年代，其主要内容由三部分构成，即赖斯的文本 类型，曼特利的行为理论以及费米尔和诺德的目的论。其中赖斯的文本类型及目 的论为广告翻译策略的选择具有直接的指导意义。一方面，按照赖斯的文本类型 划分，广告属于呼唤型文本，应采取归化的策略，另一方面，按照目的论，翻译 策略的选择主要取决于翻译的目的。就广告翻译而言，其目的在于促销。换言之， 它的目的不在于求异而在于消除交流的障碍以达到预期的目的，因而流畅的译文 更容易被读者接受。再者，从决定翻译目的的重要因素一读者角度来考虑，广告 翻译应以归化为主，因为，广告译文中的读者为一般读者，而这些读者大部分对 源语文化知之甚少，更重要的是他们习惯于按照母语的习惯来思考和阅读。因此， 熟悉的表达更容易为一般的目的语读者接受。当然广告的翻译应以归化为主，但 这并不排除异化，从特殊的读者群即年轻读者考虑，广告的翻译必须以异化为辅。 有时异化的译文能满足他们对异域情趣的好奇感，促使他们行动。总之，考虑到 广告的文本类型，翻译的目的以及目的语的读者，广告翻译应以归化为主。 在实践中，广告的归化涵盖各个层面，包括词汇，句法，语篇以及修辞。这 些层面的归化，帮助读者跨越了语言和文化的障碍，成功地达到了广告的预期目
