Look at the pictures, do you know these fairy tales? Tell Ss their English names and lead in reading aloud. Then tell them: Today we will continue learning another fairy tale -Hansel and Gretel.Step2 Before readingT:Before you read ,decide what kind of text it is. Is it a letter, a play(剧本) ,a short story or something else? Make Ss pay attention to Scene.Step3 While readingFast reading: Let Ss read the play and answer the questions:1)How many people are there in this play? 2).Who wanted to kill them?3).Who came up with an idea to save themselves?4).Were they lost at the end? What did they find?Check the answers with the class.Careful reading: 1.Let Ss read Para1 to finish the mind-map. Show Ss the mind-map, lead them to understand the story lion.2.T: Now lets read the play carefully and try to match each description below with the correct scene.Then check the answers with the class.3.
