revenge tragedy in english renaissance about hamlet,the most important feature of the english renaissance literature was the prosperity and development of the drama. the hamlet, as a representative of shakespeares revenge tragedies, takes the conflict between the ideals of individualism and the forces of evil as the theme and finally,becomes the endless think tank of western literary discourse.,hamlet is a traditional revenge tragedy and has almost all of the traditional techniques of this kind of drama: to begin with the crime or describing the crime and then issuing the instruction of revenge to the victims family through an agent (such as the ghost). afterwards,revenge becomes complicated because of varieties of obstacles (such as identifing the criminals,determining the suitable opportunities,places and ways for revenge and so on).finally,the drama ends with the death of the criminals, the avengers and all of the main characters.,relationship between the characters in the drama,mother,uncle,hamlet was created in 1602 by shakespear.the story was written according to a prince in denmark. when shakespeare created this tragedy, england was in the late renaissance period. at that time, england society was in a period of domestic turmoil. hamlet described the situation in demark.at the same time, it was a mirror of england.,character analysis of hamlet,brave,smart,kind and sincere,hamlets strenghs and weaknesses from the character of prince hamlet, we can see the steadfast and hesitated character, indecisive and decisive action, melancholy and optimism, self-confidence and inferiority, enthusiasm and apathy, intellect and madness, mother fixation and hopelessness to the love with opposite sex, as well as the suspicion to life and the speculation to death.,“to be or not to be-that is the question“,-no matter which option was decided, hamlet would face difficulties. if he chose not to revenge, he would suffer his weakness at the rest of his life. if he chose to revenge, he would die and lead to terrible consequence.,the tragedy of the prince hamlet,the character of hamlet was a messy and changeable subject. this kind of complicated characteristics became the biggest obstacle of his success. together with hamlets excessive pursuit for power, all of these resulted in the failure of the great heros revenge. at the same time, this also intensively reflected the uncertainty and complexity of the modern subject establishment in english renaissance.,today we are all taught that we are born to be equal, and we are the masters for our life. while hamlet was a noble prince at that time, he could not be his own master but to die. as a prince and a son, he had heavy burdens for his country and his father. sometimes i think it is lucky to be an ordinary person, whose life seems easier than those who was born with great responsibility. however, tragedy can not happen f
