Module 6 The Tang Poems Old and New (建议用时40分钟). 阅读理解AHotels that use locally-sourced materials are quite popular, so for developers looking to build hotels on a Bolivian salt plain, in Southern America, it would perhaps make sense that some of the white stuff might find its way into the restaurants mills(磨坊). However, the builders behind the Palacio de Sal resort(度假胜地)took this idea and ran with it, for the hotel is built entirely of salt. The hotel has all the modern equipment you would expect, including a steam room, and, unsurprisingly, its own saltwater baths. But there is one ruleit is against the rules to lick(舔)the walls. It took two years to construct the amazing structure. Creator, Don Juan Quesada, dreamt up the idea of the worlds first salt hotel as it was naturally the most practical building material in the area. It was first built in the mid-nineties but had to be pulled down in 2002 before being rebuilt. Pedro Pablo Michel Rocha said, “The hotel is certainly invaluable. All our guests are amazed by it and tend to try to lick the walls or furniture made of salt just to be sure it is made of salt. We can promise that it all is. As the name shows, our hotel is like a palace. It has a unique structure and is a treat for the eyes. ”Even the swimming pool, tables and chairs in the dining room are made of salt. It sleeps up to 48 people across 16 twin rooms and 8 double rooms with prices starting at 85 pounds a night. Mr Rocha added, “Our dining room is indescribable. Guests can enjoy our special meals prepared on the basis of salt, flame and lamb meat from the region, or salted chicken. The bedrooms attract attention because they look like igloos(冰屋)built with salt blocks. ”【文章大意】文章介绍了在南美用盐建造的宾馆。宾馆里有现代化设施, 而且全部和盐有关系。1. The hotel mentioned in the passage_. Changes in major industries, relocation(重新安置)of certain non-administrative functions outside the capital, rise of living costs and other costs have been regarded as the main factors for the decline. Around 57% of permanent residents in Beijing live between the third ring road and the sixth ring road. About half of them live in residential areas outside the fifth ring road in Beijing. Beijing had a permanent residential population of over 21. 5 million people by the end of 2014, including more than 8. 1 million permanent living migrants from other cities. The growth rate of migrants living permanently in Beijing has seen a rapid decline in recent years from 64. 2% in the past three years to 43. 5% in 2014. The report also says that the burden on the city center is gradually being transferred to the citys new development zones. But public services like schools, hospitals and other services are still concentrated in the city center. The unreasonable distribution of these public resources has led to congestion(密集拥挤)and environmental issues. Beijing will pilot(试用)a“point system”in east suburban district of Tongzhou to allow its migrants to claim permanent resident permits or“hukou”. The system was included in the comprehensive pilot plan for promoting new-type urbanization released Wednesday by the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), Chinas top economic planner. According to the district government of Tongzhou, it will adopt a“point system”for migrant people in the district based on various standards including stable employment, accommodation, social security, and time of residency, etc. Beijing can control its population growth by transferring some of the capitals functions to neighboring regions rather than by adopting stricter household registration system, said Yi Peng, a researcher of PanGoal, a public policy research Institution. 【文章大意】在过去的五年里, 北京常住人口增长持续下降, 本文分析了原因, 并谈到了通州区通过采用“积分政策”促进人口增长。5.
