Lesson 24Writing a Poem 教学整体设计【教学目标】1.掌握文中单词fairy tale,character,plot,humorous,stair并能熟练记忆。2.掌握本课的重点短语和重点句型:重点短语:learn to do/different kinds of/at the beginning/be afraid to do/too.to/encourage sb. to do sth.重点句型:We read many different kinds of poems./Jenny thinks stories are easier to write than poems./At the beginning,I was afraid to try writing a poem./But it was too hard to write that poem!/Here it is.3.理解课文意思并能回答课后的问题。4.能学着写一首英文诗。5.掌握过去进行时的用法。【教学重难点】重点:掌握文中重点短语和句型。难点:能准确应用本课中的词汇:fairy tale,character,plot,humorous,stair。【课前准备】多媒体,黑板,录音机 教学过程设计 教学过程一、创设情境,切入主题Step 1:LeadinginTeacher shows the names of some poems and stories.T:Which do you prefer to write,poems or stories?S1:I prefer to write stories.I think it is easier to write.S2:I prefer to write poems,for I think it has short passages.T:OK,then what do you think of Dannys poems?S:I think it is very good.T:Today we will learn a lesson about Dannys diary and Dannys poem.Now lets start!设计意图:新课开始,教师通过设计几个学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,能调动他们的学习积极性。二、展开过程,探究新知Step 2:SelflearningSelflearning Guide(1)T:Read the words (softly,scene,selfish,knock,spread,neck,wicked) by yourselves and learn by heart.Then lets have a dictation.Who can do it best?设计意图:教师以比赛的形式记单词,学生记得快。可以调动学生们的学习积极性。Selflearning Guide(2)Read the passage in pairs and answer the following questions.1.What does Danny decide to write finally?2.Why does Dannys teacher encourage him to write a poem?3.Does Danny think write a poem is quite hard?4.Whats your opinion about Dannys poem?设计意图:通过反复朗读课文,加深了学生们对课文的理解,同时也锻炼学生们总结归纳的能力。Step 3:DrillRead the lesson and do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2 on Page 61.设计意图:通过反复朗读课文,加强了学生们的记忆,同时也锻炼学生们的判断能力和思考能力。三、布置作业完成课本61页PROJECT。 教学小结【板书设计】Lesson 24Writing a PoemMain phrases:learn to dodifferent kinds ofat the beginningbe afraid to dotoo.toencourage sb. to do sth.Main sentences:1.We read many different kinds of poems.2.Jenny thinks stories are easier to write than poems.3.At th
