课堂总结的方式一般来说是由教学内容与任务、学生的实际情况、教师自身的教学风格来确定。通常的课堂总结类型有以下几种。
1.提问式
新旧知识联系紧密的课,课尾时,教师可引导学生把新旧知识纳入同一系统,形成知识网络,便于学生记忆,并掌握知识之间的区别。
如《乘除两步计算式题》课堂结束时,教师可设计这样一个填空题:“在一个式子里,就按照从左到右的顺序进行计算。”当学生回答出在一个式子里,有乘有除,或连乘、连除,就按照从左到右的顺序进行计算;有加有减,或连加、连减,就按照从左到右的顺序进行计算时,教师引导学生:加减是一对好朋友,乘除也是一对好朋友,当好朋友在一起时,就按照从左到右的顺序进行计算。从而得出:在一个式子里,只有加减法,或只有乘除法,就按照从左到右的顺序进行计算。
1.讨论式
教师根据本节课的目标和要求用提纲出示。如《分解质因数》的课堂教学结束,教师可设计这样的讨论题:①什么叫质因数?(举例说明)质数和质因数有什么区别?②什么叫分解质因数?分解质因数通常按哪几步进行?在具体分解质因数时,特别要注意什么问题?学生带着问题,同桌或四人小组讨论。教师巡视察言观色,个别指正帮助,以此作为本节课的总结。这样的总结,既能培养学生的概括能力、抽象思维能力,同时也锻炼了学生的语言表达能力,还能形成互帮互学、互相评价的氛围。
2.板书归纳式
根据儿童感知记忆的特点,通过视觉的记忆,往往胜过其听觉记忆,所以在教学中要十分注意板书的设计。课堂教学结束时,板书已具有完整性,此时教师可以结合板书整理归纳。如《乘法的初步认识》的课堂总结,可以请同学们看黑板共同总结这节课所学内容:求几个相同加数的和,可以用加法计算,也可以用乘法计算,但加法算式书写和计算都较繁琐,而乘法的书写和计算却很简便。以后碰到求几个相同加数的和时就用乘法计算。此时在“相同”两字下记上着重记号。

如《带分数乘法》这堂课,由于学生会受带分数加减法的干扰,会把整数部分和分数部分分别相乘,或把分数部分先通分再约分。为了帮助学生弄清两者之间的异同点,课堂结束时,可出示下列表格。
1.练习式
练习式课堂总结,是教师结合教学内容,根据学生的实际情况,精心设计练习以引导学生巩固所学知识和技能的一种课堂总结形式。
如倒数教学的课堂总结,教师要求学生根据倒数的意义和求一个数的倒数来做练习。并在练习后总结:这节课学习倒数的意义和求一个数的倒数的方法。求一个数(零除外)的倒数先把这个数看作分数,然后把这个分数的分子、分母调换位置就可以了。
通过练习,可以检查学生掌握知识的情况,巩固所学知识,并在训练中提高学生分析、解题能力。
1.延伸式
延伸式课堂总结就是教师在教学结束时,有目的地把所讲知识延伸到课外,以便沟通课内、课外的联系,为课外学科活动创造条件。
如在“长方体和正方体的认识”课堂教学结束时,布置如下手工作业:
(1)用硬纸做一个长方体或正方体。
(2)先折折看,再回答图1中的平面图形能不能围成一个长方体或正方体。
这么多“手工活动”不可能都放在新授课中进行,正好通过课堂结束转移到活动课程,使学科课程和活动课程密切联系在一起。这样可利用课外活动培养学生的发散思维与实践操作能力。也可让学生用萝卜、土豆之类削成一个长方体或正方体,再将这个长(正)方体分别沿水平方向切开和自上而下切开,观察一下,它们各增加了哪几个面。这样做可以为解答综合发展题奠定基础。
1.扩展式(引申式)
扩展式课堂总结,就是教师在归纳总结的基础上,加以引申、拓宽,教师提出较深入的问题让学生思考,以拓展知识视野。
如“梯形的面积”课堂教学总结时,.教师可以这样引导:这节课我们从平行四边形面积的计算公式推导出梯形面积的计算公式。现在,同学们想一想,能否用像图2那样分割的方法来推导梯形面积的计算公式呢?
讨论后,教师继续引导:还有其他方法吗?请在课后思考。
也可以请学生在生活中找一找梯形,面积公式除了计算图形外,还能解决哪些实际问题?以激发学生的积极性。
1.板理式
梳理内容式课堂总结就是把本节课的主要内容做一番梳理,把重点、难点再突出强调一下,把知识结构与脉络理清,让学生再一次明确本节课学了些什么。这种方法能迅速指明要点,一般适用于概念较多的教学内容。
如“数的整除”第一课时,一下子出现整数、自然数、倍数、约数等概念,这些概念间有联系,易于混淆。练习之后,在总结时,再着重用比较法梳理一下:自然数和整数有什么区别,又有什么联系?整除与除尽又有什么区别和联系?倍数与几倍有什么区别?
2.设疑激思式
设疑激思式课堂总结,即教师引导学生归纳小结时,设法留下余味,有意设置一个悬念,促使学生鼓起更大的勇气去思考。这对学生课后预习也是一种强大的推动。
如教“除数是整数的小数除法”时,课堂总结时出示一道的除法算式,要求学生用刚才所学的知识迁移过去,看谁能够有办法解决。这样可以引起学生预习后续内容的兴趣。
3.游戏式
