1.AssistantWaiter—RoyalCaribbeanInternationalPOSITIONSUMMARYProvidesfoodservicetoguestsinallRestaurantOperationsareasbyperformingtheessentialdutiesandresponsibilitiesoutlinedbelow.ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESAlldutiesandresponsibilitiesaretobeperformedinaccordancewithRoyalCaribbeanInternational’sGoldAnchorstandards,SQMstandards,USPHandHACCPguidelines,environmental,andworkplacesafetypoliciesandprocedures.Eachshipboardemployeemayberequiredtoperformallfunctionsinvariousfoodandbeverageservicevenuesthroughouttheship.InaccordancewithRoyalCaribbeanInternational'sphilosophyofAnchoredinExcellence,eachemployeeconductsoneselfinaprofessionalandcourteousmainneratalltimes.Thisconsistsofphysicalandverbalinteractionswithguestsorfellowshipboardemployees.•Participatesinrotationalservicedeliveryschedule,workingincasualdiningserviceandvariousotherfoodandbeverageservicevenues.•Observesallestablishedsecurityandguestprivacyprocedureswhendeliveringtostaterooms.•ProvidesassistanceandsupporttoassignedteamofWaiterswhileworkinginthediningroomtoensureefficientandseamlessservicedeliveryofallmealstoguests.•Leamsandusesappropriatefoodandwineterminologyandpronunciationtoenhancetheguest'sdiningexperience.•Becomesfamiliarwithmenudescriptionsandwinelistsinordertodiscussitemsappropriatelywithguests.•Useslinen,silverware,glassware,andchinatosettables.•ArrangessettingsontablesasperGoldAnchorstandards.•GreetsandescortsgueststotheirassignedseatsasperGoldAnchorstandards.•Presentsbothfoodandbeveragemenustoguests,suggestsdinnercourses,appropriatewinesandanswersquestionsregardingmenuandwineselectionsasperGoldAnchorstandards.•Makesrecommendationstoenticeguestswhilemeetingmanagementgoalstoreduceparticularinventorystock.•Relaysordertogalleyasrequiredandservescoursesfromgalleyandbeveragesfromvariouslocations.•Garnishesanddecoratesdishesasrequiredpriortoserving.•Entersfoodandbeverageordersinthepoint-of-salesystem.•Maintainsassignedstationincludingtablepieces,sidestandsandchairsasperthecleanshipmatrixandpublichealthstandards.•Observesgueststoanticipatetheirneedsandrespondstoanyadditionalrequestsandtodeterminewhenthefoodandbeverageservicehasbeencompleted.•Participatesindiningroomentertainmentasdirectedbyestablishedactivitiesandspecificitineraryadaptationssuchasthemenightparades.•Attendsmeetings,trainingactivities,coursesandallotherworkrelatedactivitiesasrequired.•Performsrelateddutiesasrequired.Thispositiondescriptioninnowaystatesorimpliesthatthesearetheonlydutiestobeperformedbytheshipboardemployeeoccupyingthisposition.Shipboardemployeeswillberequiredtoperformanyotherjob-relateddutiesassignedbytheirsupervisorormanagement.QUALIFICATIONSMinimumhiring,languageandphysicalrequirementstoperformthejob.HiringRequirementsTwoyearsofpreviouswaiterexperience,preferablyina4or5starrestaurant.AbilitytoapplycustomerserviceskillsaccordingtoRoyalCaribbeanInternational,sGoldAnchorstandardswheninteractingwithguestsandco-workers.Abilitytoperformbasicmathfunctionswithregardtomealcountprocedures.CompletionofhighschoolorbasiceducationequivalencypreferredInternalCandidateRequirementsInadditiontothestatedhiringrequirements,internalcandidatesarerequiredtofulfillthefollowing:Mustfulfillallrequirementsasstatedin“ChartYourCourse"ormeettheexternalhiringrequirementsasdetailedabove.Musthavebeenincurrent,permanentpositionanabsoluteminimum90dayswithaperformanceratingofsatisfactoryoraboveinthatpositionbeforeapplying.MustcompleteonefullcontractwithaperformanceratingofsatisfactoryorabovewithRoyalCaribbeanInternationalbeforeanyplacementwilloccur.Nowrittenwarningsonfilewithinthepast12months.Mustsuccessfullycompletetheprocessforshipboardjobapplications.LanguageRequiremenlsAbilitytopassISFMarlinsTestlevel2.AbilitytospeakEnglishclearly,distinctlyandcordiallywithguests.AbilitytoreadandwriteEnglishinordertounderstandandinterpretwrittenprocedures.Includingtheabilitytogiveandreceiveinstructionsinwrittenandverbalformsandtoeffectivelypresentinformationandrespondtoquestionsfromguests,supervisorsandco-workers.PhysicalRequirementsWhilepeiformmgthedutiesofthisjob,theshipboardemployeeisregularlyrequiredtostand;walk;usehandstotouch,handleorfeel;reachwithhandsandarms;talkorhear;andtasteorsmell.Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythisjobincludeclosevision,distancevision,colorvision,peripheralvision,depthperceptionandabilitytoadjustfocus.Allshipboardemployeesmustbephysicallyabletoparticipateinemergencylifesavingproceduresanddrills.Fulluseandrangeofarmsandlegsaswellasfullvisual,verbalandhearingabilitiesarerequiredtoreceiveandgiveinstructionsintheeventofanemergencyincludingtheloweringoflifeboats.Abilitytoliftand/ormoveupto50pounds.2.RoomServiceAttendant—RoyalCaribbeanInternationalPOSITIONSUMMARYProvidesfoodservicetoguestsintheirstateroomsand/orvariousvenuesbyperformingthefollowingessentialdutiesandresponsibilities.ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESAlldutiesandresponsibilitiesaretobeperformedinaccordancewithRoyalCaribbeanInternational’sGoldAnchorstandards,SQMstandards,USPHandHACCPguideline
