TheWestEuropeanTankerReportingSystem(WETREP)
TheWestEuropeanTankerReportingSystem(WETREP)isestablishedintheWesternEuropeanParticularlySensitiveSeaArea.Everykindofoiltankerofmorethan600tonnesdeadweight,carryingacargoof:•heavycrudeoil,meaningcrudeoilswithadensityat15°Cofhigherthan900kg/m3;•heavyfueloils,meaningfueloilswithadensityat15°Cofhigherthan900kg/m3,orakinematicviscosityat50°Cofhigherthan180mm2/s;•bitumenandtarandtheiremulsions.ShipsonvoyagetoandfromtheWesternEuropeanReportingAreashallsendreports:•onentryintotheReportingArea;or•immediatelyondepartingfromaport,terminaloranchoragewithintheReportingArea;or•whentheydeviatefromroutingtotheiroriginaldeclareddestinationport/terminal/anchorageorposition“fororders”givenattimeofentryintotheReportingArea;or•whendeviationfromplannedrouteisnecessaryduetoweatherorequipmentmalfunctionorachangeinthenavigationalstatus;and•whenfinallyexitingfromtheReportingArea.6.6ChineseShipReportingSystem(CHISREP)TheareaofcoverageforCHISREPare:thence9Nnorthward,130Ewestward,excludingothercountry’sterrestrialseasandinlandwaterareas.Thefollowingshipswhichnavigatemorethan6hourswithinCHISREPareasaremandatorytoparticipatethesystem:•All300GTormore,China-registeredshipsengagedininternationalroutes.•1,600GTormore,China-registeredshipsengagedindomesticcoastalroutes.•300GTormorebutunder1,600GT,China-registeredshipsengagedindomesticcoastalrouteswasmandatorytoparticipateinthesystemsinceJanuary1st,2005.
