5.Understandthedifferencebetweenpredictionsanddefiniteplans.

6.Writesentencesandashortparagraphabouttheirownorothers'futureplans.

7.Recognizetheimportanceofmakingreasonablepredictionsbasedonevidence.

Step2:Pre-reading(5minutes)

-Showstudentsimagesorshortvideosdepictingvariousweekendactivities,discussingwhatpeoplemightdoineachsituation.

-Reviewthetargetlanguagestructures,focusingon'begoingto'forfutureplans.

Step3:While-reading(15minutes)

-Provideareadingtextthattalksaboutsomeone'splansfortheweekend,including'begoingto'sentences.Askstudentstoreadalong,identifyingfutureplansmentioned.

-Leadaguidedclassdiscussiontoensurecomprehensionandencouragestudentstorelatetheirownexperiencestothetext.
