译文:设计概论《设计概论》周锐等编著上海人民美术出版社出版日期：2006年12月第1版2006年12月第1次印刷工业设计的意义：设计首先是为了延展某种功能，为了很好的满足功能的需要，需要不断的更新改进设计，同时工艺也在不断提高，许多工具渐渐变成了展现技艺的精品。在不断去收美学经验的基础上，一种蕴含了精湛工艺和完美使用功能的新的“美感”渐渐被人们接受、美的体验在生活中被感受、被认识。由此在劳动中体会到了成就感增强了人么的工作乐趣。在社会发展的过程中，人们的物质财富开始大量增加。对美好境界的追求，刺激了美的探索渐渐专门化、职业化。对于美的探索，人们总结出了许多规律——我们称其为形式法则。这其中许多法则在设计中也具有很好的适用性，推而广之则在很多的日常用品和工具设计中取得成效。“师法自然”既是纯美学的规律也是各手工艺设计领域普遍遵循的规律。当工业化开始的时候，师法自然的规律开始受到强有力的挑战，机械化的理性高速和千百年来人们坚持的自然理念发生了激烈的冲突。经过近百年的设计尝试和思考，人们终于在纯理性的学科——数学当中找到了立足点，并开始接受抽象的数学美感。由此一个现代化的时代到来了，设计以及美学的研究都进入了一个前所未有的发展时期。工业设计的本质：按《设计科学名词术语论集》，设计的定义是：一个作业，把所确定的设计任务在一个设计过程中转化为技术任务的具体描述。国际工业设计协会为工业设计下的定义是：以决定工业产品理想目标为目的的创造活动。随着科学的进步，设计不再仅仅依附于有形的产品尸体上，一些软性的技术、服务等要素，也被涵盖在了设计这一大的范畴下。因此上面的这些定义并不能完全的概括设计的本质，为此，一个含义更为广泛、更全面的定义出现了：设计师将需要转化为产品，过程或体系的规定的特性或规定的一组过程。从这个定义中，我们可以归纳出以下几点：1、工业设计首先是为了解决问题，满足需求。我们设计的出发点是常常是生活中所遇到的问题。正是这些问题激发我们进行积极思考，怎样去改进现有的产品，或是设计一种新的产品来满足自身的需要。满足需求是设计的目标。没有需求，任何设计都失去意义。在针对需求的思考过程中，我们将实际生活中的体验融入设计中，通过对现有产品外型、材料、颜色、加工工艺的改进或创新性设计，解决现有产品中存在的问题，从而得到一个全新的、能更好地满足我们需要的产品。因此，设计首先是一个解决问题的思考过程。2、设计的对象是人，同时兼顾自然。设计以人为本。设计是为人类社会服务的，任何违背人性化原则的产品设计都不可能成为一个真正优秀的设计。同时，在倡导绿色生活、绿色设计的今天，进行一个产品设计还需要考虑到“可持续发展”的要求，尽量减少对自然的破坏和资源的浪费。将创造“人和自然的和谐状态”作为设计的基本要素之一。用设计服务人类社会的同时，也用设计来关怀自然。3、设计是一个综合的过程。设计并不是一个简单的线性过程，而是一个综合性的有展开有反馈的过程。在设计的展开过程中，我们要综合的将人们的需求和市场、现有技术、材料、工艺结合起来考虑，寻求最佳解决方案，进行设计。在设计过程中，则要考虑人们的需求和生态性原则之间的最佳平衡点。当设计推入市场后，并不是这个设计的终点。还必须要和搜集正对这个产品的消费者使用意见，并将其反馈给设计部门。针对具体的意见对产品进行改造，在投入市场检验。产品就在这一综合的过程中不断改进，以适应时代的变化，成为一个有生命力的产品。工业设计的特征：本质特征也就是设计的基本出发点。1、设计要与市场分析精密结合起来。设计必须要了解市场，了解主要消费群体的消费方式，才能把本质充分展示出来。了解生活才能设计生活。2、设计的另一特征是它的创造物特征。设计的价值在于独创性，在于通过设计的独创性在社会生活中产生独特影响，所以创造性也是设计的另一本质特征。3、设计的本质特征的第三方面是科技化、技术化。从设计的技术化特征上说，它的出现就与经济发展、科学发展有着密切的关系，只是由于工业化的特征，把传统的工艺设计改变为工业化的批量生
