health.NicciWrightheadsthegroup.
"Whenwereceivethosepangolinstheyareallveryweak,
whethertheyhavebeenwiththepoachersforafewdaysorup
totwoweeks,"Wrightsaid"Theyhavegotwoundsandinjuries,
anditisverypitifulandverydifficulttoemotionallydealwith
thatkindofsufferingandabuse.”

toidentifyandcatchpoachersandtraders
ofteninundercoveroperations.Theyalsoworkon
anti-traffickingmeasures.Thelatestprogramistotraindogsto

Itisreportedthat97tonsofpangolinscaleswereseizedfrom
smugglerswhotriedtotakethemoutofAfricalastyear.This
amountstoabout150,000poachedanimals.However,ifsonly
about20percentofthetotalnumber,becausetherestescaped
