OKRA’sdesignforthenewlayoutofthecanalandparkfeaturesthreemaininterventions(干预措施).Firstly,theparkformsabuffer(缓冲带)betweentheresidentialandcommercialareasofthecity.Itpromotesinteractionwithnaturebyprovidingcitizenswithgreenandbluespacesthatproviderelaxation.Thisincludesspacetorunandexerciseintheparkandrowandpaddleboardinthecanal.Further,thedock(码头)alongthewaterfrontistheperfectconnectionbetweenthegreenandbluezones.

TheredesignoftheCatharijnesingelalsopromotestrafficflow.Pedestrians(行人)arethetopchoice,andtheyaregiventheirownpathswherepossible.Meanwhile,anewwalkingtrackhasbeensetupalongthecanal.Itleadsexercisersthroughthepark,alongsidevariousartinstallations(雕塑装置)andseatingareas,andprovidesvisitorswithviewsofthecity.Furthermore,thelandscapearchitectsincludeddesignelementsfromtheoriginallandscapearchitect,J.D.Zocher,tocreateapublicspacethatbridgesitshistoricaldesignwiththecitycenter.

Tounderstandwhetherthisbacteriumhelpsthepandasgainandstoreweight,theresearchersputthepandawastestheycollectedintolabmice.Thentheyfedthemiceforthreeweekswithabamboo-baseddietthatsimulated(模仿)whatpandaseat.Researchersfoundthemicewhichweretransplantedwithpandawastescollectedduringshoot-eatingseasongainedsignificantlymoreweightthantheoneswhichwerenot,despiteconsumingsameamountoffood.
