在知识层面上来说，高二的学生在高一阶段的英语学习中，已经初步接触和了解了英语国家的文化，积累了一定的词汇基础，并掌握了一些简单的学习策略和技巧，具有初步的英语听说读写能力。在情感层面上，学生处于即将面临高考的压力，需要纠正一些易犯的错误，吸取经验教训以更好地提高自身的水平。在思维层面来看，高二的学生的思维能力已接近成人，他们有旺盛的求知欲，较高的学习自觉性，并具备较强的自学能力；他们对老师的期望值也大大提高，不仅希望老师传授科学文化知识，更期望从老师那里获取更多的学习策略和技巧。本文的话题将很好的调动学生的积极性，同时文章具有一定的难度会给学生造成一定的阅读困难。
