Gameshow:acompetitionorquizinwhichcontestantstakepart,e.g.Gladiators.Soapopera:populardramaseriesthatgoesonforalongtime,e.g.CoronationStreetaboutthelivesofpeopleinastreetinManchester,andEastendersaboutthelivesofpeoplelivingintheEastEndofLondon.QualitynewspaperorbroadsheetisaBritishpaperthatusuallyhaslargepagesandcontainsalotofseriousarticles,e.g.aboutpolitics,businessandscience.QualitypapersinBritainareTheTimes,TheIndependent,TheGuardian,TheDailyTelegraph.Localpapersarenewspapersfromcitiesortownsthatreportalotoflocalnews.Theyareusuallypublishedweekly.Tabloidsaresmall-formatnewspaperscontainingonlyshort,simplereportsonthemainnewsandfavouring‘humaninterest’storiesandstoriesaboutthepersonallivesoffamouspeople.
