8OutputDevices:MonitorThemonMonitorResolutionandDotPitchTheresolutionspecifiesthenumberofpixelspersquareinch.Pixels(shortfor“pictureelements”)aretinydotsthatformanimageonthescreen.Theresolutioncanbesetmanually.Thehighertheresolution,thesharperandclearertheimageis.However,theimagemaybeverysmallifyousethighresolutiononasmallscreenmonitor.PCmonitorsareusually15-inch,17-inch,19-inch,or21-inch.Fora15-inchmonitor,acomfortableresolutionsettingwouldbe640480(307,200pixels).resolutionThedotpitchistheamountofspacebetweenpixels.Thesmallerthedotpitch,thebetterthedisplay.
