During the same period stocks of palm
2、oil also rose, but fluctuated greatly. At all times, ending stocks exceeded demand, but not by the same margin. From 1985 to 1997 ending stocks were between 1,300 and 1,700 tonnes, even though demand doubled during the same period. After 1997 the margin increased significantly, reaching a peak in 20
3、00 of almost 3,000 tonnes pared to the demand of 20,000. For the next five years ending stocks fell back relative to demand.In the last three years the industry seems to have reached a consistent level of ending stocks pared to the demand.The graph shows the production levels achieved by factories i
4、n three different locations over the period 2000 to 2022. Overall, we can see that, although the three factories vary in size and production capacity, the output at all the sites has followed a similar upward trend.In Guangzhou, the largest of the three, output rose from 7.6 million to 12 million un
5、its over the period in question, the best growth in percentage terms. In Timisoara, production rose by about 35% over the same period, despite a slight fall recorded in 2022. In Leeds, output also grew year on year but increased more slowly, from 7 million in 2022 to 8.5 million in 2022.In conclusio
6、n we can observe that production at all three sites has shown a healthy level of growth, reflecting an increased demand for the panys products.Module 8The two graphs show the changes in global temperature and the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by different countries over the period 1880 to 1990.Ta
7、king global temperatures first, we can see that there was steady rise in global temperature of 0.8 degrees Fahrenheit over the period in question. However, within this general trend, there were many fluctuations, for exle between 1917 and 1917, global temperature dropped by 0.6 degrees Fahrenheit.Th
8、e second graph, showing the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by different countries in the world, shows a steady increase in the total emission from one billion tonnes in 1950. From 1950 to 1990, emissions increased dramatically to 22 billion tones. The contribution of North America, Western Europe
9、and other developed countries levels off after 1970, whereas that of the rest of the world continues to rise sharply.From the information presented, it is not sure if there is a connection between the two developments.A letter of plaint Module 6 Dear Ms DelapleI am writing in answer to your letter o

38、nd documentary The aim of this report is to provide an update on the progress with regard to the documentary started last May, and an estimate of the timetable for pletion.We chose Greenland as our subject for the following reasons:-no-one else is making a documentary in this area at the moment.-it
39、is a good place to observe the effects of global warming (currently a topical subject).On the positive side, we have collected five hours of material including some impressive footage of wildlife (particularly polar bears) and some very interesting interviews with local people.With regard to the tim
40、etable, however, the filming is several days behind schedule. This is partly owing to unpredictable weather conditions which have sometimes prevented us from filming. In addition, it has not been easy to get permission to shoot in the north. Since it is a conservation area, the authorities are reluc
41、tant to give permission.Our estimate is that we have only another four weeks of filming to plete and once that is finished we will return to the editing room to distill the footage down to one hour.We would remend, on the basis of what we have already filmed, that the subject of the documentary shou
42、ld be the effect of global warming on wildlife and the local people. However, we recognize that this is your decision and would wele your views on this before we begin the editing process.A report on employee trainingThis report examines the performance of new recruits to the Solartech staff in the
43、last two years, and makes remendations on how performance can be improved.During our survey, we interviewed twenty recent recruits in the sales department and examined their results. We came to the following conclusions:-Eight of them were doing an excellent job. In the case of two, they had exceede
44、d their sales target by over 15%.-Six of them had a good technical understanding, but seemed inexperienced at selling (three of them admitted they had never sold anything before joining the pany). Their sales results ranged from poor to very poor.-the remaining six had a sales background, either thr

However, their understanding of the product was weak.Our remendations are as follows:Technical training courses should be made obligatory for new recruits and extra training must be given to those who are weak in this area.Sales training should be

Moreover, anyone who fails to meet their targets over four consecutive months despite having been trained should be asked to leave.A market profile report
47、Module 12Report on China VisitThis report gives a summary of my meetings with various representatives of the Chinese tea industry and aims also to give an impression of what it is like to do business in China.The objectives of my visit to China were:- to meet tea experts and find out more about the
48、product.- to discuss the logistics of exporting tea from China.I made two interesting contacts: Li Sung, a tea master and Qiu Li, an expert agent. Li Sung really knows his subject and will be able to remend to us the best teas to buy and Their sources. Qiu Li has worked with other western firms before and will be able to deal with the necessary authorities for exporting the teas.Both of them seem happy to work with us. Li Sung will want a fee for his consultancy and Qiu Li will work for us on a mission basis.My advice for the person
