3、e words. 三、教学用具 Textbook PowerPoint Color pen四、 教学过程Step1 StoryIntroduce the sound /u/ using a story.(Teacher may speak Chinese when necessary.)T: Whats the weather like in the picture?Ss: Its rainy.T: When its rainy, what do we need outside?Ss: umbrella, raincoat, rain boots.T:The children have gon

4、e out to play in the rain. To keep dry they put their umbrellas up, saying, “/u/, /u/, /u/, up, umbrella!”They splash happily in the puddles. Can you make the sound /u/?Ss: /u/, /u/, /u/. Ask ss to look at the letter u and tell them this letter makes the sound /u/.设计意图:学生通过故事,知道今天要学习的音是/u/,看到字母U要发出/

5、u/的音。Step2 ActionLead ss to pretend to be putting up an umbrella, with one hand holding the umbrella and the other moving up, saying u, u, u.教师用语: Imagine you are putting up an umbrella with one hand holding the umbrella and the other moving up, saying u, u, u.The letter u makes the hand goes up.Let

6、s do it together! 设计意图:通过做动作,让学生感受/u/的发音。Step3 Letter FormationExplain that you are going to show the children how to write the letter sound /u/.Identify the starting point for the formation of the sound (marked by a dot). Demonstrate the formation in the air.Ask ss to watch and imitate the formatio

7、n, whilst saying the sound.Ask ss to write over the dotted letters in their books.Ask ss to say the sound while they are writing.(Ss who have finished may color the egg on their book as they will.)Demonstrate the formation of capital letter U on the blackboard.Ask ss to watch and copy.Ask ss to writ

8、e over the dotted letters on their workbooks.Ask ss to say the sound while they are writing.设计意图学习字母U的大小写书写。在书写时关注/u/的发音。Step4 ReviewingEncourage ss to sound ou /s/, /h/, /m/ ,/g/, /p/, /n/, /k/, /r/ to review what they have learnt before.And tell them to be ready for blending.设计意图在拼读前,帮助学生复习在之前单元所学

9、字母的发音,以便学生更加顺利的进行拼读练习。Step5 BlendingEncourage ss to make the /u/sound when they see letter e.Encourage ss to blend the word when they see it on the blackboard.T: What does sun, cup and mud mean?
