动名词用法讲义及练习

1、动名词用法一、A作句子的主语：句型 V-ing+V例A：Smoking is a bad habit.（吸烟是坏习惯。）例B：taking exercise every morning helps make one healthy.（每天早晨做运动有助于人的健康。）解说 动名词作主语用时是属于第三人称单数，因此要取单数形式动词。B作主语补语：句型 S+be+V-ing例A：My favorite sport is swimming.（我最喜爱的运动是游泳。）例B：Her only desire is studying music.（她的唯一的愿望就是学音乐。）C作直按宾语：句型 S+Vt. +

2、V-ing例A：I enjoy watching TV news after supper.（晚饭后我喜爱看电视新闻。）例B：You'd better stop smoking.（你最好把烟戒掉了。）例C：It began raining heavily when we got there.（我们到达那里时，开始下起大雨来了。）D作介词的宾语：句型prep. +V-ing例A：He drove away without saying good-by. （他没说再见就开了车走了。）例BIt is polite to knock before entering a room.=It isb

3、efore one enters a room.（进入房间之前敲门是一种礼貌。）二、动名词的惯用句式句型1 It is （of ） no use +V-ing（也没用）例A：It is of no use your trying to help him.（你设法要帮助他是没用的。）例B：It's no good making a fuss.（吵闹也没有用的。）注意： “be of on use ”是本来的表达法，但是“of”常脱落而成“be no use”，有时候也可以如例B用“be no good”。本句式也可用“to V”，此时通常不用“of”，例如：例：It's no u

4、se to go to him for help.（去向他寻求帮助是没有用的。句型2 There is no +V-ing（也没）There is no use （your）trying to help her.=It is no use （your） trying to help her. 注意： 表示“no use +V-ing”， 例示的两句可以通用，不过本句式本来的表达法应该是：There is no use in （your） trying to help her .本句式除了“no use”，也可用“no good sense, knowing （没有益处意思，知道”）句型3 It

5、 goes without saying that （自不待言）例A：It goes without saying that health is better than wealth.（健康比财富好自是不用说的道理。）注意： 本句式在“saying” 之后要接用“that of”从句是等于“it is a matter of course that（自不待言的道理）”的意思句型4 S +go +V-ing例：Father and I often go fishing on Sundays .（父亲和我常在星期天去钓鱼。）解说 本句型“go +V-ing ”的“V-ing”都是表示“活动”，例如

6、： 随着近年来新兴的休闲活动的出现也新生了不少属于本句型的表达法，go mountain climbing去爬山go fruit- picking 去（观光果园）采水果go grass skiing 去滑草 go straw-berrying 去采草莓若非休闲、娱乐活动通常都不用“go +V-ing”来表达，例如“go working ,go studying ”是不通的。句型5 S+ spend +时间 +（in）V-ing 例：I usually spend my evening reading （晚上的时间我通常都用于阅读。）句型6 S+ cannot help +V-ing （不得不）

8、s then .（当时她正忙着在回几封信。）注意： 本句式也可用“be busy in V-ing”，但是现代英语似乎不用“in”较普通。若是不用“V-ing ”，也可以用“busy with +N”，I am busy doing my homework right now .=I am busy with my homework right now .句型9 be used to +V-ing（习惯于） 例：My grand-parents are not used to eating with forks and knives . 本句型除了使用“be”以外也可以使用“get, beco

9、me”，例如：Now I've got used to getting up early .句型10 look forward to +V-ing（盼望）例：I am looking forward to seeing you all soon. （我正盼望着不久能和各位见面。）句型11 feel like +V-ing（想要）例：I feel like having a lot cup of coffee. 句型12 On （upon） +V-ing（一就）例：On （Upon） hearing the bad news ,she turned pale . （一听到那坏消息，她就脸

10、色变得苍白了。）解说 本句式也可以使用“as soon as”的句式来表示，例如：On （Upon） arriving there ,I gave her a call .=As soon as I arrived there ,I gave her a call. 句型13 Far from +V-ing （一点也不）例：Your work is far from （being ） satisfactory .（你的工作一点也不令人满意。）解说 如例示，如果动名词是“being”，则常省略，此时应注意的是“from”之后接用了形容词。本句式也可以表达如下：Your work is not s
