All she does including going to a support group party ( a support group means teenagers with cancer get together to share their stories and get comfort from others ) And she meets Augustus there. Auguster is a 17 boy who also suffer from cancer, but fortunately he has an 85 % chan

3、ce of recovery. After that, they go through a lot before they finally become lovers.If you are interested in the details, you can turn to the book. Dramatically, Augustus condition deteriorate d'trret soon after they confirm the relationship. The doctor gave up chemotherapy ki:m'erp and he m

4、ay die at any time. After knowing this, Hazel burst into his arms crying and say: " Ii is so unfair.”And Augustus tells her that"apparently,the world is not a wish-granting factory. After that, they cherish every day together, even in the last period of the Augustus's life, Augustus ev

5、en hold a pre-funeral for himself before he die. In fact, although this book is mainly about cancer and death, it is not just a sad book. It makes us think about sth when reading the book. We can see that Hazel is unable to deal with her disease at the beginning of the story,that is why she refuse t

6、o enter into a close relationship with Augustus at first and always want to please her parents, she behaves as if it´s her fault to get cancer ,thinking that " the worse thing than having cancer is having a child with cancer.".However, after all these things, I believe she begins to f

7、ace up to death. One interesting detail is that she delivers a different speech at Augustus´s pre-funeral and the real funeral, because she realizes that " funerals are not for the dead, but for the living." After reading this book,I think a lot about our attitude toward cancer and de

8、ath.I think of my grandparents' generation who never say the word " cancer" directly. They just say " bad disease" vaguely, as if we can keep cancer away in this way. And we seldom talk about death .It seems that the education we received from childhood taught us how to love

9、others and how to respect life, but did not teach us how to face death correctly. So we often see in real life or in movies, the patient pretends not to know his own illness and the visitors pretend to be optimistic about the patient's illness. The conversation between them is often like this: &

10、quot; You look much better today", " Let's go on a trip when you are discharged from the hospital." They are wasting time talking about things they don't even believe in, and we can see in many movies the dying person want to say something important or true before his death, but it's too late and he will probably stop in the middle of a sentence. So If we can have a proper attitude towards death and t
