6、o go home!Liste ning 3Maki ng memoriesA popular new hobby is scrapbook in g-mak ing beautiful books to hold specialmemories. Scrapbook pages can in clude photos, draw in gs, journalen tries.It ' s not hardto make a scrapbook that you will enjoy for many years. Here are the steps.1. Choose a them

7、e for your scrapbook pages. Someexamples: “ School days, ”“ Familytravel , ”“Memories of my grandparents, ”“ Baby' s first year. ”2. Select photos for each page. Two or three really good photos are better than ten so-so photos.3. Find other paper keepsakes to use with your photos. Look for old n

8、 ewspaperclippings, postcards, tickets, report cards, letters- anything made of paper. Useyour imag in ati on!4. Desig n the pages. Put photos and keepsakes together on each page and move themaround until you find a layout that you like.5. Glue your photos and keepsakes into place. Then decorate you

10、rbooks in the Un ited StatesMost high schools in the United States publish a yearbook. The yearbook comes out once a year, usually in the spri ng. It is a record of the school year-a “ book ofmemdes ” for the students.In side a yearbook is each stude nt ' s photo. The seniors are graduati ngsoon

11、, and theirphotos appear first. Next are the juniors. They are one year beh ind the seniors. Nextcome the sophomores, or sec on d-year stude nts. The last photos are the first-yearstude nts, the freshme n. The yearbook is not only about stude nts. The teachers have photos, too.The yearbook also has

12、photos and descriptions of sports teams,academic subjects, andextracurricular activities. These are activitiesstude nts do after school, such as thechess club and Spanish club. There is even a yearbook club. Students in this club write, desig n, and take photos all year for the yearbook. At the end

13、of the year, the book is prin ted.In the yearbook, some students receive special titles. The seniors vote and choose the“ class clow n ”( a funny stude nt),the “ most likelyto succeed”( a stude nt every onethinks will be successful), and the“ best dressed ” (a student with a good fashionsen se).
