The poem is full of many metaphors and similes, such as the king men ti oned in the poem who represe nts a belief in religio n. The wordi ng of the poem affirms Emily Dickinsons belief in life after death. The poem has a short

Death is in evitable to all who are born, although not all deaths are disturbed by a pesky fly.(2) In 1863, Emily Dickinson wrote the slant rhyme poem I heard a Fly buzz- when Idied-, which gives the reader a rare glimpse of dying from the view point of some one who is
14、already dead. Death is a part of life no matter what pers onal belief one has, and accord ing to Emily Dick inson, life may continue after death.修辞“ heard a Fly buzz employs all of Dick inson fosmal patter ns: trimeter and tetrameter iambic lines (four stresses in the first and third lines of each s
