1、人教版新课标必修2第四单元Wildlife protection中Reading部分How Daisy Learned to Help Wildlife!Good afternoon, everyone. I am Dingshoufeng from Jining Experimental Middle School. It is a great honor for me to be here to share my teaching plan. I will divide the representation into five parts:Analysis of the teaching

2、material, the teaching aims, the important and difficult points, the studying methods, and the teaching procedure.Part 1 Analysis of teaching material: The theme of this unit is wildlife protection. The passage tells us a little girlDaisy travels to three different places in her dream where she saw

3、antelopes were over-hunted, some animals were being killed and a rainforest needed to be protected. The text also gives us a good example of wildlife protection and what we can benefit from wildlife protection. Through reading the passage, students can further realise that the situation of wildlife

4、is becoming worse and worse and therefore it is high time we took action to protect wildlife. With the fast development of society, the issue of environment is becoming more and more important. How human beings live in peace with animals has become a topic that we have to face. As middle school stud

5、ents, it is necessary for them to know something about wildlife and wildlife protection and form the concept of environment protection.Based on the analysis the teaching material, my teaching aims are as follows:Part 2 Teaching aims1. Aims of the knowledge:(1)Students can know and use the the import

8、.And develop their abilities to think and express in English.3Aims of the emotion: (1)Encourage students to participate in class activities to arouse their interest in learning English. (2) Help students to develop the sense of cooperation and competition through group works, to develop their person

9、alities and creativities.Part 3 Important and difficult pointsStudents can use reading skills to understand the meaning of the passages and can use the information they get to solve problems.Part 4Teaching methodsIn this topic, I will use Communicative Teaching Method and Task-based language Teachin

10、g. I design some tasks to help the students learn. I will give them enough chances to practice and use group work to let the students take an active part in all kinds of activities. That is “Learning by doing, learning by using”. Let the students be the masters of the class teaching.Part 5 Teaching

11、ProcedureStep 1. Pre-reading&Leading inShow students a video anout wildanimals being killed and then ask them:What has happened to these animals? What will happen if human beings continue to do like this? The purpose of this step is to let students realise how important and urgent to protect widlife

12、 and then arouse their desire to read the passage to get information about wildlife protection.Before reading the passage, ask students to look at the title and the pictures to predict what the passage is mainly about.This step is to develop the students ability to predict the content of the passage

13、 with the help of the title, photos etc.and then arouse their desire to read the text to check their answers. Step 2. While-readingFast-readingQuestions:Which places did Daisy visit? What animals did she meet? How many parts can the passage be divided into?This step is designed to help students to u

14、se fast reading skills such as scanning, skimming to get the general idea and the structure of the text. So it will be easy for students to carry on detailed reading. 4. While-readingAsk students to read the passage carefully and after that, I will divide the students into different groups and let t

15、hem be the owner of the class.In this course, I will give each group a certain task to finish, such as: Give a report about the situation of the antelope; have an intervew with the elephant; and design questions about the monkey to let the students in other groups to answer etc.The purpose of this s

16、tep is to let students cooperate in each group to finish different tasks with the information they get while reading. Thus this procedure can develop the students reading skills to get detailed information and can use the information to sove problems. Also, this is a good chance to develop their tea

17、m spirits. 5. Post-reading在这一环节中我设计了多种形式的活动来检查和评价学生的理解掌握情况。Play a game.让学生通过游戏的形式,对本课内容进行巩固扩展;这样做既巩固了所学知识,让学生进一步了解野生动物保护方面的知识;又培养了学生的参与、竞争意识。 Discussion:Topic: (1) Why are some wild animals in danger of dying out? What should we do to protect wild animals? (2) Design a slogan (口号) for a world wildlife protection organization.本环节设计的目的在于培养学生通过对所学知识,对信息进行分析、处理与解决问题的能力,同时进一步强化学生的合作、共享意识。6. Summary让学生进行本堂所学内容进行自我评价。7. Assignment:(1) Visit the following websites to find out more information about wild life protection./ http:/www.worldwildlife.
