,Do you know any stories or persons in ancient Greek?,Apollo is the god of light, dance , music, medicine, archery(箭术) etc. Apollo stood for youthful and manly beauty. His golden hair, stately(庄严的) manner and air all combined to make him the admiration of the world.,We all know the story of laurel(桂冠) and all feel pity for Apollo and Daphne(达芙妮).Here I want to show you another story about Apollo.,A beautiful girl, by the name of Clytle(克里提)once helped Apollo by chance and was so fond of his beauty and glory that dawn to dusk(从黎明到黄昏) she knelt (跪)on the ground, her hands outstretched towards(伸向) the sun-god and her eyes looked at his golden wheeled carriage (金质马车)racing across the blue sky. Though her love was not returned, she had never changed her mind about Apollo. The gods were moved by the sad sight and changed her into a sunflower.,Skim the text and find out the main idea of the story.,The story is about a princess who races to marry the man that can run faster than her.
